Thank YOU to everyone leaving tokens/notes to the memorials I have added. If you so desire and have time, I would appreciate very much if you could leave tokens/notes for my precious Mom and Daddy.|
Before adding a memorial, PLEASE check to see if the Cemetery already exists.
Also, PLEASE, PLEASE before adding a memorial, check to see if the deceased has been added previously. I have found tons of duplicates in Rice Field Cemetery, Franklin County, Tennessee. If you add a NEW memorial, could you please leave a token of some kind? Everyone deserves to be recognized.....It's horrible to click on a memorial and not find at least one token. Thank YOU!!
If I've made errors or you wish to have an entry removed or transferred, please let me know and I will gladly accommodate.
The following is something with a lot of meaning and I thought you all might like to read it, also.
Your tombstone stands among the rest neglected and alone. The name and date are chiselled out on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care; It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist; you died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse; entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew that someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you.
Thank YOU, Joanie

|Stacey Herman||Hickory Grove Cemetery|
Are you familiar with Hickory Grove Cemetery near Huntland in Franklin County, Tennessee? It is on Findagrave and I have found references to it. But I can not find anything that shows where it is. Would you have any idea where it is? Thank you.

Gideon and Lucinda Gifford are my 2x great grandparents. I noticed that a note on their Find A Grave entry you stated that you had learned quite a bit of Gideon's family history. Would you be willing to share that family history with me? (And is there a way to do that on Find A Grave?) Thanks so much. And in case you don't often sign in to Find A Grave, and you don't see this till some time in the future, please assume that I am still interested in learning the family history. Thanks so much.

Thank you for leaving the flowers for the Osborn family. We know of only the three graves buried in this little unmarked cemetery on my mother's family farm. May they rest in peace.
Your flowers are greatly appreciated.

|Stacey Herman||RE: Miller Cemetery|
Thank you for getting back with me. Jacob probably does not have a marked grave, but maybe next summer I will try to find the cemetery and look. Last summer I found his wife Sallie in Old Grays Chapel. Stacey

I saw you had entered memorials for Miller Cemetery in Jackson County, Alabama. Do you know if there are other graves there? I am trying to find my gggrandfathers grave, his name was Jacob Miller d. 1877, he was allegedly buried on Miller Mt. up Burks Creek.I have no idea if he even had a marked grave.If you have any info that could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Stacey
