I have long been enchanted by cemeteries, for as long as I can remember. According to my parents, I even learned to walk in the beautiful cemetery across the street from their first home, so strolling around these memory gardens comes second nature to me. I was honored to work at Historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington DC before moving to Italy in 2015. I now volunteer at the Non-Catholic Cemetery in Rome (also known as the Protestant Cemetery, Testaccio Cemetery, or Campo Cestio...it’s had numerous names over the years). I think it is the most beautiful cemetery I have ever visited. Please feel free to be in touch if you are going to be in Rome and would like to visit. :)
