I believe in representing the markers in the best way I can, not only out of visual preservation, but because they are a memorial to someone's loved one. |
Feel free to contact me about photos, transfers, etc. I am thrilled to be able to transfer memorials to family members. I hope someday to only hold my own family memorials (particularly the names listed in my virtual cemetery).
Please allow me some time to make changes; I have a demanding job these days. :)
Additional information is added to memorials at my discretion in order to preserve privacy for the families. Thank you for your understanding.
I started working on the National Memorial Park cemetery (Falls Church, VA) in 2008 and have spent the majority of my time in sections U, X, W, H, Garden of Ascension, Last Supper, Fountain Court, The Cloisters, Cremation Garden, and recently K - though some days I like to rove around. It is 200 acres so plot numbers come in very handy for photo requests. The NMP office will give out plot numbers by phone without charge but I don't want to wear out my welcome by asking too often. :)

Iam so glad you pointed out my error, once I put him it the right cemetery I discovered his son had made a memorial for him,so I added the pic I had & deleted mine. Thank you & have a sunny day D'Anna
I have never done a request like this before, and I am so thankful you were able to go out and photograph the grave for me. This is my grandfather's birth mother who gave him up for adoption and it means so much to my family to be able to see this. Thanks again!

I just read your intro statement, Like you I have been roaming and taking photos. Yesterday, I took the list from the site and went to the office. They are not helpful. The gentleman did say that I could fax the list to him. I will do that this week.
I asked each requestor to make inquires and find the section/plot information.
Yesterday, I photographed about 100 markers in Section M. Uploaded the data for about 40 of them and hope to complete the upload this evening. Then I will add the photo's.
Last year, I did some work in A and AA.
I think by collborating, we can make major contributions for National :)
Thanks for reaching out. Judy

What a nice thing for you to do, adding flowers. Makes the picture so much nicer. Thanks again.

Thank you for the picture of George and Jane Beavers stomes. Did you put the flowers on the graves? Really appreciate you hard work for Find A Grave.

Good to know there is a local Find A Grave volunteer surveying this cemetery. I stopped there while traveling and took a few photos.
Thank you so much for the picture of my Uncle Carper's grave, as well as my Aunt Mildred.
I appreciate it so much.
Thank you so much for the picture of my aunt's grave. It confirmed what I thought - and that is that her death date has not been placed on her marker.
I appreciate you taking the time to take the picture for me.
Thanks for transferring everybody. :D I really appreciate it.
