Bio

Hello, I live in South Texas - two hours from the Mexican border. Growing in this part of the country with it's rich mexican heritage, I noticed many cultural traditions and adages. I developed a desire to know the whos, whys, and whens of my family's roots. It's been said, "you can't know where you are going unless you know where you come from". Genealogy allows you to really understand your family history. Find-a-Grave propelled that longtime desire to study my ancestry. I've met new relatives and re-acquainted with long lost relatives. As I conduct interviews, I am very intrigue by stories of my past ancestors. There is a rich history behind us.

One of my favorite poems is "The Dash". That small dash between the birth and death dates signifies all the time that was spent alive on earth. Death is not the end - memories live on. They are the footsteps of your life.
