Your tombstone stands among the rest, Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out...On old gray granite stone.
It reaches out to all who care...It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist...You died...and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you...In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse...Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled...One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left...Who would have loved you so.
I wonder when you lived and loved; I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot...And come and visit you.

Looking for a Cemetery
Hello, you came recommended as someone that can help me find a cemetery in Livermore, Maine.

I looked up a relative's obituary from December of 1930. It read, "Interment at the Rich Cemetery, Livermore."

Do you know what cemetery that is referring to? I have compiled a list of over 40 cemeteries in the Livermore/Livermore Falls area and have looked through all on find-a-grave, used google, and been searching for weeks.

I certainly hope you know what cemetery this is - I would be in debt to you!

Thank you so much for your time!

re: Beedy Cemetery, Weld, ME
Thank you for all you do to identify graves for the rest of us!! We just returned from Phillips/Madrid, ME and tried our best to get to the Beedy Cemetery but the road made it impossible. I was so happy to see the information on Nathan Beedy and his wife, Eleanor Bean! I am a descendent of Dorothy "Dolly" Hackett Beedy and Mary "Polly" Eveleth Beedy so was "bummed" when I couldn't actually get to the Cemetery to see it for myself. But, thank you!!!!

Do you happen to know anything about the John and Mary Hoyt family? I know John and Mary were born in NH according to census records. I'm particularly interested in their daughter, Sarah E. Hoyt. thank you.

Hello Ms. Cook,

I am a member of M.O.C.A.
I recently began a stone cleaning project with a volunteer in Russell Cemetery in Temple. One of our cleanings happened to be Mary Emeline Corbett! I have added a pic to her memorial. I have some amazing before and after pics. I would be happy to email them to you!

Friends-West Road Cem (Howard)
This cemetery is not a valid one because it is a combination of 2 cemeteries (Friends and Howard) both of which already exist; they each have a sign (an engraved stone) clearly showing they are separate. Friends is diagonally across the road from Howard; apparently someone decided to combine them.

I'm sorry, but the first 18 records in this cemetery, J Allen thru T Bailey, were all created by you in 2013 and they are duplicates of records in Friends Cemetery created in 2008 with photos. I know what a lot of work this was, but would you please delete these 18 records. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Memorial# 18754497
My name is Kate and I have been putting together a genealogy for my motherís ancestors. I have interspersed various photographs within the text to accent interesting facts about some ancestors. I plan to publish and print hard copy books for my immediate family and their children. I have included the following photo, Abraham Morrill Memorial# 18754497, that you posted and I donít want to use it in my book without your explicit permission. I will include your credit with the photograph and Find A Grave in the citations.

Last week a friend of mine who works in the printing industry approached me with an offer to print and bind my book at no charge if I allow the printer to use the content in a sample print run of approximately 100 books. They would not be sold but instead would be distributed to demonstrate digital ink jet technology. I would like to accept this offer, however, I cannot do so without gaining your permission to use your posted photograph.

Would you please grant me permission to use your posted photograph, listed above, in my book.

Thank you for your consideration, please respond at your earliest opportunity.
