When I first discovered Find a Grave it was for famous interments only. It wasn't until mid 2000 that I heard they were allowing non-famous burials. That's when I immediately made an account and started adding family to memorialize and leave tokens for them. I've been a member now for over 20 years and just within the last few years did I start thinking about all the others who may be forgotten. I have entered several from the cemetery transcriptions and then photographed entire cemeteries. Not only for those who have gone before us, but also in the hopes of helping others and eventually seeing them in the hands of family again. If I have created any memorial that any family wishes for it to be removed please let me know and I will immediately take it down. Please just know that all the memorials are made to remember them. What a volume are those tombs; how eloquently do they speak to the heart, at least to those who understand their language --how forcibly do they announce the nothingness of terrestrial things! Yes! it is in these pages, traced by the hand of death, that we may study and learn the necessity of virtue -- If man approached more frequently the resting place of the dead he would not remain so indifferent to the mild voice of conscience.

THE TRAIN: At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel by our side. As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of your life. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. Others will step down over time and leave a permanent vacuum. Some, however, will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.

The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.
