Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am now a ninety one year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and recently a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society.

Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.

One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.

Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. I appreciate it when you say what relation, if any, to a person.

Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

RE: Hi Dorothy
On the memorial for Thomas Beck, with a lot of work I found that he is buried in Athens Tennessee. Found that out right before Aunt Ruby Beck passed away. Nice to know. Love Dorothy Vanginault

Hughel Wilkins
We are trying to fulfill your request for a picture of Hughel Wilkins 1897 to 1958. Would you please call Seaside and ask section and plot and then let us know?

James Henderson Everhart

You have a rather extensive bio done on James Henderson Everhart born 1857 Hawkins County, Tennessee. Do you know of an additional marriage to an Alice Stapleton? It is so nice to see such an extensive write up done on a deceased individual.

Thank you,

I just wonder how you came upon his memorial? Are you related to the Wagner family?

RE: Miram Wheeler
Okay, I see the memorial for her in the Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, Oklahoma. It also has a photo of the gravestone. Glad you found that.

RE: Miram Wheeler.
Oh my. It wasn't our intent to have you delete the memorial even though the cemetery had no record of her being buried there. She could be somewhere else. Our suggestion was intended to delete the photo request until you found her in another cemetery. We hope that our message didn't sound like we wanted you to delete the memorial. If it did, we are so sorry. We will be very careful how we word our messages in the future. We want to honor those who have lived and passed on even if we aren't sure of where they are buried. If this is the one we are thinking of, there was a link to her husband who was buried in the Clinton Cemetery in Oklahoma. Please recreate the memorial and we will help find her. Again, we are sorry if we conveyed the wrong message.

Charles David Schott
Good afternoon Ms. Hoffman

I see that you have been maintaining a memorial for my Uncle Charles David Schott. I am requesting a transfer of this memorial so that I can continue to manage it.

I greatly appreciate all of the wonderful work you have put into your memorials. I am new to this process and it seems that all of my family have someone already managing their memorials. It seems strange to me to be asking for a transfer, but I was told that this is okay to do.

Again, thank you for your time and energy. Have a great day. Rochelle

RE: John McGee, #145809183,
Thank you Audrey, we will be glad to care for John and any other McKee you are caretaker for. My husband, Bob, begins his McKee line with David, son of Samuel, so John would be an uncle to him. If a more direct descendant shows up we will pass John along. Also, thank you for giving these people a bio, I hope that is as much fun for you as finding it was for us. Grace
