Don't take this the wrong way but I have a weird facination with the institution of cemetaries. Not that I'm a necro or anything like that, it's just that growing up my grandparents took me to so many cemetaries that I gained a strange curiosity about them, who's buried where and why, how long did they live and how long have they been dead. I know that sounds completely bizarre but it's just me. I see hundreds of graves listed on this site and there are hundreds more that aren't that should be. One of my hobbies is the famous and often the infamous. I'm a new contributor here so I hope you'll take a look at some of my contributions.
Elena Hoyos (Maria Elena Milagro De Hoyos) It was my understanding that Von Cossell was not a doctor but rather a low level radiation technician. (I believe he represented himself as royalty too) He prayed on the desparation of the Hoyos family by creating a "machine" that would "cure" her TB. The machine actually only provided an electrical shock to an already sick Maria.
He further exploited the family by taking advantage of their poverty and paying for the funeral. As a condition, he referred to Maria as his "Fiancee" and took center-stage during the visitation.
Obviously, the rest of the story is known for all its disturbing qualities and morbid curiosity. I hate to hear the term "love story" when Carl did so much to physically and mentally abuse the sick lady and her family.
Joseph Yablonski birthplace You have Joseph Yablonski listed as having been born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA. You are off by more than 300 miles. He was born in Pittsburgh, in Allegheny County, PA. Allegheny County is 2 counties north of Greene County, where he lived when he was killed; and it is one county north of Washington County where he is buried. You can verify this from wikipedia below.
Salutations I was privileged to sponsor the site for Elena Hoyos (Maria Elena Milagro De Hoyos). You wrote a great Bio for her. It seems we share similar interests. I hope you don't mind that I added you to My Friends list. I would be honored if you added me to your list, too. All the best, David Eastburn
