THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

The Final Gift

Scatter me not to restless winds
Nor scatter my ashes to the sea
Remember now those years gone by
When loving gifts I gave to thee
Remember now the happy times
The family ties we shared
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared
Deny me not one final gift
For all who come to see
A single lasting proof that says
I loved....and you loved me

Birth place correction
Memorial # 91920332, John Milton Rhodes, His birth place is listed as "Knox Co, Ohio" but in his own words he says that he was born in Portage Co., Ohio. Knox County isn't anywhere near Portage county, Ohio. I believe John Milton was a relative of Margaret Rhodes Crocker as in Crocker Art Museum and wife of Govenor Crocker.

Our mutual problem
Well, Findagrave has taken Theresa RaNae's side. They take the side of the rude, obnoxious person who has created only 15 memorials over the group of us who has created 138,149 memorials. I emailed A.J. Marik and this is what we get. He didn't even have the GUTS to answer me. This is ridiculous. Oh, AND they censored my page. They deleted my message and deleted the RUDE COMMENTS that Theresa RaNae made to me and I refused to delete. This is unbelievable.

Gernardine J. Schoer
Hello, We noticed the spelling you put for Gernardine is spelled wrong. Family records show it spelled, Gerhardina. Could you please correct it. Thank you, Donna Brizzee Ford

RE: Theresa RaNae
Rant all you want, I understand. I admire your wanting to come to the aid of your friends when you see them being abused. You are a true friend.

I myself, am on the verge of quitting too. I see no use in contributing to a site that allows this sort of thing.

Hales Chapel Cemetery - WYATT transfers
Hello! I feel like a pot of gold just fell into my lap because these transfers were unexpected. Thank you for them, especially of 3G grandparents James and Emilia Holt Wyatt! I see that someone posted some duplicate memorials AFTER you had posted yours and hope that doesn't cause problems. It won't for me:) Thank you, again!!

Thank you Bernice
Thank you for your comments Bernice. I was shocked with her attitude also. The presumption that the memorial was hers and I was standing in her way. Also did you read Mudbrook2001 comments on Apr 13? I have no idea where he even came from. He just starts hammering me out of nowhere. At first I thought he must be on my page by mistake. Then I wondered if she sicced him on me and told him a bunch of bogus stuff. I never talked to anybody about linking parents on the 'Edit' button. Sometimes I just think I'm in the Twilight Zone and I'm the only one who's sane.
Glad you stopped by to say Hi. Notice that there are no comments from me on Theresa's page? I think I was civil and made too much sense for her...so she deleted my comments. I'm leaving her comments up forever so that people can see her for who she is. Have a great week and thanks again.

Thanks so much for adding obituary for my Uncle Wes. Where did you find it? I know his wife/divorced was Ester. Do you know anything about her? She lived in Nev.?

I have some of Morris's family photos I could email to your if you like. One is a group picture of Morris's family. Perhaps you will know the names. You may have them on Find a Grave.
