|dixie scott robles||RE: Clarinda Scott|
So nice to hear from you. This is the info I have on my grandfather's 1st wife and baby, Isabel and baby Jasper. You may already have it. My Aunt Hazel (dad's sister) and I searched the Lewiston Cemetery from one end to the other looking for their headstone on a very hot July day and Hazel had to finally go sit in the shade, but I had one more row to go and stuck to it and FOUND IT!!! SO THRILLED!!!
GERTRUDE PARTRICK said that Isabel was born in Napa, 12 mi. West of Napa City in the Napa Redwood District.
I sent for and received obituaries on Isabel and on baby Jasper from LEWISTON MORNING TRIBUNE:
11 Apr 1973
May 22, 1901 paper:
Mrs. C.L. Scott, aged 23 years, died at her home near Slickapoo yesterday, the cause of her death being typhoid fever. The deceased leaves a husband and two small children. The funeral will be held in this city today. The interment to be made in the city cemetery.
Sept 4, 1901 paper
Jasper Scott, the 18 month old son of C.L. Scott died last evening at 6:00 o'clock of fever. The funeral will be from the home at 11 o'clock today.
I FOUND THEIR HEADSTONE IN THE LEWISTON CEMETERY. A TALL ONE WITH HER INFORMATION ON ONE SIDE AND HIS ON THE OTHER. dixie
Jasper, son of C.L. and I. Scott
Feb 15 1900
Sep 3, 1902 (1901)?
Wife of C.L. Scott
Feb 21, 1877
May 21, 1901
I notice the obituary says she was born 21 Feb 1877, but the info I have is 24 Feb 1877. Need to check on the discrepency. Also the headstone spells her name Isabell, or at least that is how I copied it down, but in a letter to her husband, she spells it Isabel..... dixie
I don't know much about my grandmother, Clarinda (she went by Clara) but will take some time this morning to see what I have and will send it to you. I never did know her, unfortunately
I looked over my own pending edits to better answer you and it was gone and not retrievable by me. Then I looked at the copied text from the memorial and compared it to my info and found the only thing I changed was the removal of the word "Mrs." from her name. Yes, she married Joseph Eby, and had not been previously married, so the title is uncommon for Find-a-Grave useage. You may leave it on if you wish.
|forever an angel||Thanks|
Thank you for your kind words.
Thank you for maintaining memorials to my relatives, Mary and Thomas Mullenix. Please note that they are BROTHER AND SISTER, not a married couple. Neither ever married, and they lived together for their entire lives.

|W MacArthur||Charles Shively|
What year did Charles pass away? Headstone shows 1930, Find A Grave has 1960.
|Not Forgotten||Julia Phebe Howard|
Thank you so much for sponsoring Julia Phebe's memorial AND sponsoring her daughter Julia's memorial. Both are my direct ancestors (as well as Julia Phebe's son Elisha "Big Lish").
Sorry the picture was not showing the full headstone. It was the 4th and wanted to make the stone legible and include the flag.
