RE: Partricks I am aware of another pioneer cemetery on private land, near the Hess winery, where the Partricks are at rest. Jenelle (Jones)Partrick is buried at the Redwood Cemetery off Mt. Veeder Road. I'm not sure how much history/photos to get into on this site. Are you aware of the book "The Mount Veeder Resort, A History of Napa County Settlers" by Cecelia Elkington Setty? There are bits of Partrick and Moyer family history in it. Very interesting reading!
distant relative I was led to this site by a distant cousin, Donald Moyer and the Partrick name hit a soft spot. Many of my ancestors are buried (Jones and Moyer) at Redwood Cemetery. I believe Jasper Partrick had a son Elmer, who had one son Darel, whose mother was my great aunt Jennell Jones. I have pictures of the Partrick family, and of course, stories that my father Ray W. Moyer told and wrote down. Jennell(Jenelle) died when Darel was 8-9 y.o.and the story goes, that Elmer was in a terrible frame of mind to raise Darel...So Darel came to live with Rose Jones and Rollin Moyer c. 1923-1924 until Elmer was able to regain his parental role and Darel "was ready for high school." Rose and Rollin had one son, my father. Ray Wilbur Moyer and he often would visit Darel(candy store) in his later years whenever he got to Napa. Since my dad was an only child, he recalled with great joy the "brother" he had for a few years.
I've got a lot to add to this site, but my time is so limited with art commissions..www.narrative-threads.com Judith Rae Moyer-Shamp
Messages I got your message about the new headstone. We are under snow right now but if you send me a message in the spring I will be happy to go take a look. I think I can find the location pretty easily. In the future to send me a message (Since I have messages on my profile page disabled) Just chose one of my memorials and use the edit tab and chose option six to send other information. This way it will not attach to a photo request for someone else. I think it is great that you got a stone for him. My fathers family did something similar when they say our GGG Grands had stones that were about 4"x6".
RE: Partrick This family is SO confusing. I have just recently extended my research into the brothers & sisters of Wm Patrick 1834-1878 (wife Sarah Pigg). Wm is my 2nd gg uncle. Children include Arabella, Jasper and 5 others. All go under the name Patrick until I located the Find A Grave info on Jasper PARTRICK. I descend from William's brother Christopher Columbus Patrick. His daughter Sarah is my g-grandmother. I thought the Find A Grave info was in error, but am finding more info that the name of anyone from Jasper was spelled Partrick. Why/when did he change the name? Any info would be appreciated.
Almira Docett and family I am wondering if you are related to Almira. She is my 2nd great grandmother thru her son William Paddock who is the brother to Alfred James (Alfron?) I am searching for information about Peter Barzeal Docett and Barzeal his father. I would love to hear from you if you have time. Thank you. Gayle Ivory Strom Olympia WA
Isaiah Jones 118859847 Dear Chevy, Thanks for posting the photo of the grave of Isaiah Jones of Comapny A 120th OVI at Valley Cemetery, San Juan Co WA. That was really appreciated. I have been researching the 120th soldiers for the past 13 yrs to tell about their lives.
May I use your photo in my research on my site and in the research that I plan to give to some libraries? I always give credit for the photos. Best regards, Susie Holderfield
Joseph Hall and wife Clydia I am sorry you are going to so much trouble trying to locate Joseph's headstone. I do not have any additional information that can help locate it. His wife, Clydia Lee Keller Hall, is a member of my family (on my paternal grandmother's side of the family). Her marriage record was transcribed incorrectly. Her middle name is Lee not Lea. Thanks. Janet
