Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
I ran across something very interesting,on a profile saying this site isnt made for family trees,I have to disagree considering it has supplied us with Family links to add parents etc...

Quote from "History of Seneca Co"..Lorentz Ley, farmer, Tiffin, was born in France Nov. 10, 1835, a son of Anthony and Mary Ley, also natives of France, where they lived and died, the former July 29, 1869, the latter in 1864. Our subject immigrated to America, coming direct to Seneca Co., Ohio, in 1847. After residing here four years, he went to Australia, where he engaged in the mining industry for six years; from there he went to New Zealand, and stayed two years, after which he returned to his native land, remaining in France eleven months, returning to settle in Seneca Co., for good, in 1861. He was married, February 12, 1866, to Catharine Fry, born in Seneca Co., April 1, 1836, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Fry, natives of France, who immigrated to Ohio about 1830, where they remained until death. Mr. Fry departed this life in 1866, and his widow in 1879. Mr. and Mrs. Ley are the parents of seven children: Charles V., Joseph A., Clara E., Mary L., Annie R., Theresa H., and Frank L. Our subject, who is one of the well-to-do farmers of Seneca Co., owns 210 acres of improved land, with splendid buildings thereon. He and his family are members of the Catholic Church. |Christine Johnson||RE: Robert Johnson|
I was married into the Johnson family. I was an Becker before I was married. I am also trying to look up the Becker tree. I can't find anything on them. I've been doing my family tree for many years now. How can I look them up when they are not online? I don't drive so I can only look them up online.
|miz_mdk||RE: Alice Rasalie Botts Gravely|
After I sent my message to you re Mark B Stephenson/Alice Botts Stephenson Gravely, I realized the memorial I was referring to was by someone else, "stars&bars". I just checked and it is a different memorial number, # 51349601. When I did a search on that number, it says it does not exist in the Find A Grave database. I would upload the photos, but the Find A Grave rules say you can't upload photos you didn't take yourself. If you have photos, it would be great if you have time to add them to the memorial.

|Wanda & Diana||Duplicates|
I was recently informed that 4 memorials that I manage are duplicates. I did not originally create the memorials but now manage them. Since you created the first memorial and are a longstanding contributor, I felt it was only appropriate to give you the option of you would like to delete yours or if you would like to update yours with the information I have on mine so that they match and then I would delete mine after you make the updates. I am related to all of them but not directly. They are cousins and one great great aunt (Tryphena is the great great aunt). The memorials are as follows:
Ethel Smith my memorial # 86663654, your memorial number 82950817.
William Morgan Bean my memorial 90396011, your memorial number 66422102.
Tryphena (Buckley) Bean my memorial 90396039, your memorial 66422085.
Grover Bean my memorial 90380817, your memorial number 66422038.

|Susan Bruffey Lehman||Mollie Bredon bruffey|
ooops, made a typo,
|Susan Bruffey Lehman||Mollie Breedon Bruffey|
I finally got Mollie's memorial edited and her parents and husband linked together! I was so tardy, not on purpose, but because we lost or home in a 2012 CO Wildfire and have been in the midst of rebuilding, and of course my husband had to have a total hip replacement to boot.
Check out her memorial 79203380,
your Find A Grave friend,
Susan Bruffey Lehman
Thanks for making the link -- much appreciated. Carol
