Retired military and living near Antietam battlefield. |
IF YOU NEED FAMILY LINKS MADE, PUT YOUR REQUEST HERE. MY EMAIL ACCOUNT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SOME ISSUES. THANKS
ALSO...TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ASKED BELOW BY Dave Lehman (#47034421)....I HAVE NOT BEEN A "DICK" AT ALL IN MY LIFE. I HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY WITH 27 YEARS OF MILITARY SERVICE, OVER A DECADE OF CIVILIAN POLICE WORK....and putting a few times as many entries into Findagrave as you. As anyone can see I have not really had the time to waste any of MY life being...or calling anyone a "DICK", Dave.
If I have added a family member or a good friend, I am happy to transfer memorials. I am not bothered by F.A.G. guidelines in transfers. I am concerned about getting family members "back together." I DO transfer distant relatives since they SHOULD be with family.
I am also happy to transfer memorials of close friends as well as family.
REMEMBER, these sites are in memory of someones' ancestors. If you place a photo on a memorial, make it good enough that you would be happy with it on your own.
All men die...not all men really live.
I am looking for Charles & Flo Liddington. Flo died in 1972. Charlie was alive in 1974. They were my mothers' mother & step-father.
I believe they lived modestly within a half hour of Danville, PA. Also, I am searching for any info regarding the roster for the 33rdBattalion of the Maryland Militia. An ancestor I am searching for, Thomas Mock, who served with this unit in New Jersey in 1777 under George Washington. He had a wife names Sarah and parents were George & Catherine Mock. They were from "SUPPOSEDLY" living between Sharpsburg and Middletown, Washington County, MD.

Thank you for the transfer of my Great-great grandparents. I want you to know how much I appreciate the work you do in Washington County! I have been able to find many generations of my family due to your hard labor! Thank You Sir!
|Kerri W||Thank you!|
Once again I would like to thank you for taking your time to take the photo of Eva Miller's headstone for me. I truly appreciate the many times you have done this for me!

Have you been a dick all your life or just since birth?

Thank you SO MUCH for taking and posting those pictures of Eliza and Annie Davis from the Bakersville cemetery! I live in the West and am in college so it would be very difficult for me to go there and take the pictures myself. Thank you again for the time that you spent to go and find those graves and get the beautiful pictures!!

Hi, I just want to tell you how much it has touched my heart to see the note with the puppy photo you left on my daughter's memorial (captioned above). She would have loved it as she was a great pet lover. She especially loved dogs and once she learned how to drive she would see a dog running loose and stop, pick it up, and bring it home! She worried it was lost and lonely. I would have to tell her to take it back to the neighborhood she found it as it would find its way home; which she would do after feeding and petting it first :) Memories are all we have now.
THANK YOU and Blessings to you,

|Luana Dawn Alger||Re: Reffina Catherine Pettit-Alger|
Thank you so much for adding Reffina's headstone... I wish I knew why her name appeared as Catherine, rather than Reffina, in her headstone. It looks like her daughter, Carrie, was also buried with her... As far as that other memorial, do you happen to know the protocol when a name appears incorrectly on a memorial but matches the headstone? I have been a member for quite a while and only have seen this once before... I do know that people will be looking for Reffina Catherine Pettit-Alger and not Catherine Reffina Pettit-Alger, because that was not her name outside of appearing on her headstone as such. The dates of birth and death are also incorrect on that other memorial, so I am in a quandary. :-/
