Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in St. Louis, but my parents moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri when I was two days old and then to Graves County Kentucky when I was 9 months old.(My parents lived and worked at Paradise Friendly Home from 1966-1969) I now live in Dexter, Missouri.
I am the oldest son of the comedian Dennis Crutchfield and Margaret Douthitt (now Gilbert) and have one brother, David, who lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
In April of 2000, I became the youngest elected Alderman in Dexter, Missouri and the second youngest Alderman to ever sit on the Council. (the youngest was appointed, not elected) I also became the first Alderman to be of Native American Descent(I'm 1/8 Cherokee) the first to have a wife of Hispanic descent, and the first elected Republican from my Ward. I was reelected on April 2nd, 2002. I lost in 2004, but was elected again in 2006.
I have been interested in cemeteries since I was a kid and it always bothered my parents who called it a "morbid hobby". It has paid off now, since cemeteries have helped my knowledge of History. Now when I visit a city and find out that they have a cemetery (or cemteries) with famous graves, I go out of my way to see them (and get pictures for Find-a-grave if they are not already posted). I am a cashier at the Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
I am married to the former Tracy Randel (she was adopted when she was nine years old. Her birth father was Puerto Rican and her mother was of German descent), who, sadly, was in an accident in August 2010 and has been in a coma since then. I have one step-son, Darrin. No transfer requests please. I've run into too many problems with them.

RE: Dub Crutchfield
I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been very close to my aunts and uncles and sure miss those who have passed away.

Do you know if he might have documented Dub's children and if so is there someone I might be able to get in touch with?

If you could correspond with me via email I would appreciate it. I believe you have my email address.

I typed Lottie and Tom's son as being W H. I meant to put W.J. aka William Jackson aka Dub. So sorry about that.

I went on ancestry but since I don't have an account I can't post on it. This is what I found out.

Thomas Bedford Gann was a stepson to w.H. Crutchfield. He was never legally adopted. Thomas married Lottie Baker and they had a son W H Crutchfield aka William Jackson. His name was legally changed to Crutchfield. Thomas and Lottie divorced in 1940 and she remarried twice and him once. This Dawsey70 on Ancestry is related to W.H.

I can't reach him but if you are a member you might could get in touch with him and give him my email address so I could possibly correspond with him.

I do appreciate anything you can do.

Thank you,
Susan Luce

RE: Dub Crutchfield
All I know is they lived in Bernie area when they graduated in 1941 from Bernie High School. He worked for his father Tom at his service station in Malden. My dad thought he moved to St Louis.

Dub Crutchfield
My aunt, Marjorie Blackman Temple went to school with a WJ "Dub" Crutchfield.

While cleaning out her estate we came across an article of his we would like to return to his children or grandchildren.

Please let me know if you can help us locate them.

Sincerely.

RE: Renauta Elmina (Davis) Ventura at Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery
Tim, can you please send me a file of the pic so I can try to figure out the information inscribed on it? Thanks!

Renauta Elmina (Davis) Ventura at Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery
Tim, I noticed you added the memorial for Renauta on Find A Grave. Do you have any more info on her? I noticed the inscription on her grave stone. Do you know anything about that? I am trying to "fill in the blanks" on my father-in-law's maternal Davis lineage. Renauta's father was John Osbert Davis, youngest brother of my father-in-law's mother, Dewey Ada (Davis) LaCroix. Don't need a transfer :) just need some info. Thanks!

German Evangelical Church
It was a thrill to find your photo of this little church in Cape Girardeau county! My husband's grandfather, Johannes Carl Jaech, was its minister from 1903-1906 or so. We just moved from the West coast to Illinois & I hope you're just the fellow to tell me how to take my husband there! He's always wanted to see it.
