UPDATED AUGUST 28th, 2014:|
"Life is the childhood...of our Immortality." - Goethe
My friends really don't like to be noticed for their work on here with me - from researching my pages for pending birthdays and anniversaries to typing for me when I have had to use my eyedrops pretty much all day (and those things sting, believe you me!)...but I want to say Thank You to my friend Dave for sponsoring a complete family, murdered during the Holocaust. He said something that literally caused me to break into tears as soon as he said it, and it really again drives home the good and important work that is done on this site: "R, They could not be separated even by the concentration camps...they should not be separated on this site." Here is one family's story, beginning with the memorial page for young Max:
A beautiful little angel:
Kaliah Dailynn Holly Jeffery
BIG THANK YOUS AND HUGS TO LISA for helping me to update my pages and information! =) Also THANK YOU to everybody who visits my pages, even when they know I'm offline for a few days and unable to return the favor - I always say that when Gannon and I are literally in the hospital together and I start feeling down and very woeful, checking my pages on here and the constant visits from my friends is always better for me than any medicine. =) I will catch up on my own visiting asap, I promise...
From site friend Sherry, this gentleman has just set out on his journey home:
This angel has a BIRTHDAY on August 31st:
Madison Harmony Sky Brooks
This beautiful little angel has a BIRTHDAY on August 26th:
Savannah Faith Sides
This angel has an ANGEL DAY on September 2nd:
Sophia Oceola Medoak Cederberg
A THOUGHT ABOUT SPONSORSHIPS: Please do not feel hopeless when trying to make it through the sponsorship listings! There are days when I can only visit a couple, myself...and I am continuing to work at separating them - for instance, you can already see 'Attention: Sponsored Children' and 'Attention: Sponsored Military Men and Women'...and I will continue to 'compartmentalize' names and circumstances, so that you will be able to go right to names which interest you. =)And, as always, THANK YOU for visiting our pages - every single token and word of prayer is so appreciated.
This HERO has less than 10 tokens:
Lt. Ronald Kenneth Cullers
This HERO has a BIRTHDAY on August 26th:
PFC John M. Vollmerhausen, Jr.
Also from floridaboy is a second HERO with the same BIRTHDAY:
Sgt. William Whitby Olsen
This gentleman has an ANGEL DAY on August 29th:
Seaman Carroll Lloyd Parker
Before my health issues and my mother's passing, I began to work on virtual cemeteries for our still MIA military men and women, as well as those who - as long as sixty and seventy years later - have recently been identified, their remains sent Home at last. Corporal William Ray Sluss is one of those heroes; taken prisoner during the Korean War, he came home to Virginia in 2012. His BIRTHDAY was August 2nd:
Corporal William Ray Sluss
This lovely lady was here too briefly:
Kathy Janene Emminger
Thank You to both The Houstons and Zane's Mom for the links and info which lead to this little angel - she has less than ten tokens:
Brittany R. Mendenhall
My father's ANGEL DAY is on September 5th; as always, visits are appreciated, and I know that Dad would love the attention:
Ronald Lucien Poynter
I was asked to keep the link up to my brother Ron's page; THANK YOU for all of your thoughts and prayers for my family members. =) I just put a poem of mine on Ron's page that will tell a bit more about my brother's short time here, if you'd like to read it - it's - as Ron would have said - the cold as Chicago winter wind truth, and he was very brave to live through everything he did. Here is Ron's link:
Ronald Lucien 'Ron' Poynter, Jr.
Bio: My son Gannon and I live in the Bay Area, but we are from Chicago/Jersey/New York; we have traveled extensively in our lives and are only off the road for now due to medical issues - but I sure hope to be able to hit the road again, someday. =) I am widowed, and I write for a living; I am very lucky to be able to work at home and therefore be with Gannon 24/7; he is seriously physically and mentally disabled, and most of my friends on here already know how I feel about Gannon...If I leave anything behind that is good, it will be because Gannon made me a better person. It is an honor to be his mother. We are interested in charity work and support Wounded Warriors, Make A Wish, Toys for Tots, The Huntington's Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation; all programs for poverty and below poverty level families in America; Feed America, Books For Inmates, and more. We also have a soft spot for animal welfare programs, and sincerely believe the quote that "If you want to know a man's true character, study how he treats an animal." Lastly, I hope that my work on here will answer questions, bring reunions and pay tribute to those gone, but not forgotten.
"Pray for the dead, and fight like hell for the living." - MOTHER JONES

Thank you so much for acknowledging the day Sophia took her last breath back in 1934. My understand of Sophia is a peculiar feeling. Sophia is a true mystery, and also timeless. I really like the picture of your mom and you in the profile. It look like you were born in a cold place. Thank you to Rhonda and Gannon Blue. Thank you for recognize Sophia's "Angel Day" in Seattle.
|Esther Kinder||Happy Birthday|
Rhonda hope you and Gannon have a wonderful day.
Happy Birthday Rhonda! Hope you and Gannon Blue have a wonderful day! Eat lots of cake and ice cream. Hugs, Rosie
Have a wonderful birthday Rhonda! I hope you and GB have something special planned for today; you certainly deserve it!
Have a fabulous day, and many, many more. Thank you for all you do.
May I call your attention to Unknown Unknown, #78179979? This veteran's stone has deteriorated so badly it's barely recognizable.

Thank you for adding my previous neighbor and your friend for sponsoring. Hope to find more, healthwise, on September 9.
|Mike L.||RE: Hi! =)|
Thanks alot Rhonda. Yes, what I was talking about was transferring my memorials to someone when I am gone. I was thinking about either you, if you would want to do that, or a distant cousin I discovered here on Find a Grave. Her name is Dori Chrisp and I have discovered several relatives due to her work here. Maybe I am thinking too much, but I would like to have someone take them over when I am gone. I dont have a wife or any close family that I would trust to take them over. My brother would have done it, but he is gone. He was my first memorial here. Sorry about your falling apart. I am in the same boat at 53 years old. Anyway, maybe I will see if I can figure out how to set up transferring these. Take care and thanks for the information.

|tribe hunter||William Olson|
Thank you for sponsoring William Olson memorial. I have transferred it to you. I am originally from Pocatello Idaho and one of my first projects on Find A Grave was to located all those who died in Viet Nam from Pocatello. Thank you for all your sponsorships.
Don't want to be a bother, but it's little Anna's birthday too, and she has only 3 tokens. :-( Please send her some friends for a visit.
