Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been fascinated by genealogy and family history.

I was born in Georgia, grew up in New Jersey, went to college in Virginia, and have now lived in Kansas, for more than 43 years.

My only son, Robbie, died in March 2000 at the age of 16, and I have listed him on Find A Grave. You can visit him at Robert Hampton Smith.

January 5, 2017---I was STUNNED tonight to find a link on the graves for my inlaws for a baby girl that neither my husband or I had ever heard of. You can visit my little sister-in-law at BABY GIRL SMITH .

I also have a memorial site for Robbie at RobbieSmith.com.

There is a new Christmas page for Robbie at Christmas Memories.

MY DEAR FRIENDS FROM F-A-G:
My time online has become more limited, and I will no longer be able to make daily visits to all of your sweet angels. However, I do plan to make monthly virtual cemeteries so that I can continue to flower your angels on their birthdays and angel days.

THANK YOU to all of you for your many kind visits and messages. I so very much appreciate our wonderful family here at Find-a-Grave!

Saralyn: Thank you so very much for the beautiful flower left for my son Ray. Sorry I have not been able to flower many of your friends and loved ones lately. Hopefully my hand will get it's surgery and I will be able to do more.

RE: Alfred Wills Clement
Maybe it is what I suggested, that there is a mistake in the transcription from the actual record to the record summary posted on ancestry (i.e., they wrote "10" for"01". I can't open the record, so I can't check it. Maybe you will be able to do that. I doubt that there is a second person named Alfred Willis Clement. The other facts match your ancestor, so these differences must just be errors. That doesn't surprise me at all! I will correct the death date on my tree (I am sure the newspaper had it right). I will remove the screen shot from his memorial.

I saw Robbie's memorial, and some of the things you posted on his website. I am so sorry for your loss.
I thought it was very moving that you were able to adopt another baby the same year that he was born.

I am going to add you to my List of Friends, if that is OK. You may add me to yours if you wish.

RE: Alfred Wills Clement
No, it probably was a mistake on the record. You would know the correct spelling if it is a family name.

RE: Alfred Wills Clement
Hi! Nice to meet you...Since I am no longer a paying member of ancestry (LONG story), but a "Registered Guest" on my own tree, there are some records I cannot open. What I did was take a screen shot of the Hints on his Profile page and cropped it so you can see how the burial record is listed on ancestry. Of course, it is possible that if the record is opened, it might say something different, but I am unable to open it. I posted the screen shot to his Find-A-Grave memorial page. You can delete it after you see it, or if that is not possible, I can delete it. I notice that the record lists him as Alfred WILLIS Clement, but you would know better than I.

RE: Memorial# 32405773 (Duplicate)
Yes, now it all makes sense. In old copies of The Dalton Citizen (North Georgia Citizen), the obituaries will sometimes say they are buried at "West View," and we find the graves at "West Hill." I wasn't aware of the cemetery ever having a different name, but I guess it did--or else, several cemeteries grew into the huge one that exists today.

Yes, I understand that you would want the memorial. I'm having the same problem with a memorial which has wrong information, but the fellow will not give it up. I just noticed that your lady is shown in two different cemeteries. I do hope you can get hold of the memorial eventually.

Thank you for leaving an Angel Day token on my father's memorial. It is much appreciated. Have a nice weekend!
