Thank you !
I am so excited to find my great grandfather's grave because of the work that you and others do on the find-a-grave website. I miss my genealogy research -it is so much easier these days with all the digital resources. I will be able to fill in the blanks and clean up any errors. Thank you so much for your contributions. Sincerely, Becky

Bradstreet Tomb
The Bradstreet Tomb was bought and cleaned out by the Ingersoll-Hathorne family of the House of Seven Gables about 1790. There are eight Hathornes, Ingersolls, and friends in the Tomb - Susannah Ingersoll in a lead casket, her adopted son Horace Lorenzo (Conolly) Ingersoll, her Uncle John Hathorne, friend Mary Stewart Clough, brother Sam Ingersoll Jr, and three others. See Robert Rantoul "Bradstreet Tomb" in obscure journal 189X (PEM Philips Library card catalogue) and the day after Horace Ingersoll's Salem Gazette 189X obituary which I read 20 years ago. I shall get more complete info after you contact me at

Africa Davis, 150470466
I don't think you'll find anything at the cemetery, I was there in July. The Pittsfield Historical Society and the Pittsfield Village records office (don't know the correct term) are across the street from the Pittsfield Cemetery, though. They were both closed when I tried to visit. Africa's original death record should be there and possibly much more. Good luck!

Congratulations on finding evidence of Africa Davis' burial place. Could I get a source citation or, possibly, could you post a JPG of the evidence to Africa's Findagrave memorial? All these years descendants have "said" he was buried in the Parmenter Cemetery!

Howard Norwood Stark
Thank You for putting up the picture of the Peecham Cemetery, in Vermont. I'm Howard Stark's niece, Sally, and was very surprised to find a memorial page put up for him by someone we didn't know.

Cool, 3 of those have stones I found and 3 are on the other list and no stone found now. Good place to start poking around.
