Bio

I am a retired 62 year old female. My mom died in 1991 and I found an old "log book" which had the beginnings of a family record in it. Mom had logged as much of the family history as she could find. I was obsessed with putting all her family data into the Family History software so I could make since of all the single data entries she had made. My only regret is that she is not here to see all the other ancestors I have found from her base info. Find a Grave has given me the final resting place of many of my ancestors and allowed me to visit them literally. I hope that I can contribute to someone elses family data and give them the feelings I have when I find one of my family on this site. I appreciate all the contributors that have come before me. I would like to take this opportunity to state that in the future any photos are memorials that I post may be used by any geneologist that so wishes if it will enhance thier family history.

I would like to thank all the wonderful gravers that I have come in contact with and open heartedly assisted me with my family research and there are so many of you. After becoming a member for a short time I now have an addition to my bio.

Please note that when I make a photo request it is because I want to see the resting place of my loved one and can not physically go there to take the picture myself. If you are one of
"those gravers" that feel that a photo gives you ownership of my ancestor, do not take or add a photo to any of the memorials I have created in honor of my ancestors. I would rather wait for some one who takes photos with a happy heart and fully intends to share the history and resting place of that person with thier family. I, of course, will always ask permission to use someones photo in my geneology and I will give full credit to the photographer and FAG but when I read a bio that states no one may use the photo on "my" ancestors page due to the fact that person spent time and money to go out and take the photo, and they don't even know my family,it makes me crazy. Why even bother to make a page or take a photo if it can not be used by the family? I thought this web sight was to be a source and record of our loved ones final resting place but I am now thinking it is a numbers game and some contributors treat our dead relatives as property and they hold the mortgage.

Please I am requesting that only like minded gravers fulfill my photo request, I can wait.
