Bio and Links

I began my interest in genealogy at about age 12 when I found interesting writings about previous generations of the family and I made copies for myself and kept them in a safe place because I thought it was fascinating. I still have those notes at age 68. I grew up in Wichita and San Antonio. Graduated high school in San Antonio.

I'm a Spec 5 Vietnam veteran married for 46 years with 3 children and 6 grand-children located in Wichita, Kansas.

I enjoy documenting graves so that others can find their kin easily and accurately. I'm grateful to those kind souls who have helped me in my research and am happy to return the favor. For every memorial I enter onto this site, that's another memorial that has a chance of getting into the right hands of family or friends.

Thanks to everyone who has sent encouraging and positive thoughts! I don't always have time to answer everyone back, but please know you too are appreciated.

Duplicates: It is never my intention to create a duplicate on purpose. If you come across a duplicate I have made, please use the SAC and let me know. Nicely, please. I'll be happy to remove it. Please don't create a duplicate of my memorials; I would rather you just ask for a transfer instead of creating a duplicate. I promise I won't grill you or make you prove your relationship to the deceased!

And for those that don't seem to get what a dupe is: If I enter a memorial on March 1st for Colby Smith and then someone else enters another memorial for the same Colby Smith on March 15th, the one entered on March 15th is the dupe, not mine.

Transfers: I will make transfers within Findagrave guidelines.

Photos: Please feel free to use any cemetery or grave photos I have posted on Findagrave for your personal use, public or private. For any photos of people, please contact me first. Some of them I have obtained permission to use from other sources and will need to run it by them first.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

Like so many other contributors, I've had to take my e-mail off my bio due to unsolicited, unwanted e-mails.

Thank you to findagrave member T.V.F.T.H. for allowing me to use the Duplicates and Photos language above.

Hi Joe,

I'm interested in knowing if you are related to Leo J. BECKER (& family)? Leo's mother is connected to my family and I would like to correspond with those related.

Edna Gray
Thanks for making the links and name additions to Edna Gray. My bad - I misspelled Grace and made an additional correction. Many thanks, Carol,

You need to slightly change your bio concerning transfers to the following or similar wording. "I will not make transfers outside of Find A Grave guidelines." Oh yeah, you will make transfers within Find A Grave guidelines. Let's put this way, If you don't transfer within their guidelines they will do the transfer for you. I had a hard nosed unrelated fella to the memorial who refused to transfer after the fourth request. Find A Grave is watching for these types in their edits, so on the fourth request rather than transfer, he deleted the memorial with pictures that weren't his. Find A Grave resolved it. I hope you don't fall into this scenario.

I am wondering if you have any info of where Frank Ball is from or relations? Or if you have a picture of Frank and Hazel Ball? They may have lived in Missouri, Arkansas, and of course ~ Kansas.

I am looking for my Grandfather's brother Frank Ball who lived in Wichita, KS about 1965. He had another brother who lived in Fayetteville, AR named Paul L. Ball.

Mother is Mary Canzada Bruce and father Logan Ball both resided in AR until their deaths.

McKaig Family
Several of the memorials you have added are the children of my great grandparents, Nancy Elizabeth and John Wilson McKaig. I was wondering if you might add Nancy Elizabeth and John Wilson McKaig as parents to those memorials you are in control of, including: Memorial #51410361(John W McKaig); Memorial #51410359(George N McKaig); and Memorial #51410358(Frank F McKaig.

Nancy McKaig (mother of above)is Memorial #28820676 and John Wilson McKaig (father of above) is Memorial #28820682.

Thank you!!
