Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native of western NC, a semi-retired educator, book, nature, and animal lover, gardener, collector of vintage children's books, artist, photographer, and proudly addicted to genealogical research.

Our lineage includes the following family names, listed alphabetically: Black, Blount, Brickey, Brooke, Burnet, Cable, Caffee, Carringer, Chapman, Colt, Crisp, Dennis, Dewey, Fauntleroy, Folger, Fye, Gaylord, Gordon, Hardy, Henderson, Hickman, Hoffman (or Hoffmann), Hogle, Hogue, Hoyne, Irish, Jenkins, Keyser, Knott, Kreider, Leslie, Lovin (or Loving), Lull, Lynd, MacDonald, Macy, McCallum, McClure, McCray, Mease, Messer, Mosteller, Odom, Owenby, Peale, Penland, Phelps, Quinn, Robbins, Rogers, Schnebly, Snow, Staughton, Stuman, Swem, Temple, Williamson, and Wright.

I don't mind photographs I have posted showing up at other genealogical locations such as Ancestry, but I do ask that they be properly cited. Thank you.

Many, many thanks to my fellow Gravers who have stopped by the memorials for my parents, my husband's parents, and any other members of our family and left flowers and notes. You are wonderful people!

"A people which takes no pride in noble achievements of remote ancestors will never achieve anything to be remembered by remote descendents." _McCauley

RE: Your Beloved Dooney
Hi Brenda, Thank You for your kind thoughts and message. My two other cats look for Doonbug. My Dusty actually sounds like he's crying at times. It's so pitiful. I almost cry myself. I know animals grieve. It will take time and the pain will lessen. I do thank god he didn't suffer the vet said he died from old age. I had had all 3 cats at the vets 6 weeks prior for rabie shots and their annual exams and everyone was in good health. I guess that's why it shocked me to find him gone I didn't expect it. Thanks again your friend Diana.

RE: Carolyn Beebe
Your welcome. There was quite a nice obit in a Denver paper in 1905. Her father and brother came to Denver to return her to Illinois for burial.

RE: Staughton Note
Hi Brenda!

The grandparents of mine that Rev. William Staughton married were Christoph Frederick Klett (Frederick Klett) and Maria Reakirt (Klett). I have memorials for them on findagrave. You can see their photos there. Frederick's memorial - Find A Grave Memorial# 64629818 Maria's - Find A Grave Memorial# 89848395 I also have a scan of the entry in the family bible if you would enjoy seeing it. Just let me know and I'll email it to you. It reads: By the Rev. William Staughton, Fredk Klett, son of G. & M. Klett, to Maria Reakirt, daughter of John and Catharine Reakirt. April 9, 1816. They were married at First Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

RE: Your Dear Friend
Hi Brenda, Thank You for the kind message. Lois lived in Canada she was a snowbird. She loved it here in Florida. I will remember the cruise we took last year to The Panama Canal. We had such a great time. It's hard to look across the street and see her house For Sale. I will remember she had a crush on my father. I would laugh at her and tell her my father is cheap and has a bad temper. She would be eating bologna all the time if she got with my father. And we would laugh but it was true. I will miss her. Take care your friend Diana.
