The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded. |
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.
Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

Barbara, Good Day to you, I don't know if you know anything about the people in the Fabius Evergreen Cemetery. I'm looking for any information on Lucina Clark b 1797 d 1899. She is buried in Fabius Evergreen and I can find anything out on her. If you don't know or if you know someone that could help. Thank you Teresa

Thank you Barbara ! I appreciate the transfer. I took a picture of Momo's gravestone, but the one you have on her memorial is much cleaner. Are you in the area ? I live about 5 minutes from Montecito (the Ranch, as my late husband called it). My in-laws are there, my grandparents, my aunt, my uncle and the wife of my husband's cousin.
I love the poem on your profile page, it's beautiful. Would it be ok with you, if I put it on my page, as well?

Thank you for photographing and posting the photo of my second cousin's gravesite. I am not related in the degree that is required, so do not need a transfer.
I heard about Drucilla and her horrible death from meningitis at the age of 5 from my grandmother, her aunt. There was a portrait of dead Drucilla in my grandmother's house (likely inherited from her sister, Drucilla's mother, who died in her 40's). Everyone who visited my grandmother knew about Drucilla.
She was named after her grandmother, Drucilla Bridges Coleman, born in Mt. Juliet, Tn and buried in Greenville, KY.

Barbara sent you e mail message I am not sure what Paulines last name was at time of passing, she had remarried, it was in the 70's. Cecil, (Jearrine) died in 60's, not sure where she is at either. You should have my e mail in your messages now. You are welcome to use that or my profile page. Thank you
