First I want to say a big "thank you" to everyone who leaves my twins and family tokens, I am very grateful. |
My dad died in 1972 when I was 9 days old and to this day I have not been able to find his resting place which is why I do what I'm doing here as I know how hard it is to find a loved one's resting place.
I can go to cemeteries in Enfield, Edmonton, Cheshunt, Chingford, Clacton, Colchester, Feltham, Heathrow, Waltham Abbey, Walthamstow and areas around them, maybe I can go further out, all depends how far. I can help with your searching for your loved ones grave in England if your not in England. I can also help with any research you may want help with in the same areas or in the UK if you are from a different country. I have the National Burial Index, second edition and will get the third when it is available, so if you would like me to do a look up, then just ask and I will quite happily.
If there is a memorial I have done for a loved one of your family and you would like it removed/changed or transfered then please email me and I will do it for you, or if there is any mistakes or anything else wrong with a memorial I have done please let me know.
A noteworthy inscription found on a soldierís headstone in an English country churchyard reads:
Take nothing but photographs
Kill nothing but time
Leave nothing but Footprints
All My Ancestors Are Behind Me.
"Be Still," They Say.
"Watch And Listen.
You Are The Result Of
The Love of Thousands"

Happy to help. I have 5 more war graves(plus relatives)from Downend to upload sometime this week.
I have also found and photographed all but one of the war graves at Mangotsfield, but will delay uploading them until the weather worsens and prevents me going out to take more photos.

Iím pleased to have been of help.
I had already added John Brunton Dickson [Find A Grave Memorial# 167752521], who is in Jedburgh's Episcopal churchyard, before I realised that they were killed in the same action. I almost duplicated Castlewood Cemetery because it does not show on Find A Grave if you search for "Jedburgh" in "Scotland". Luckily I googled it and found that it was already on.
I had been to Jedburgh and Kelso a month ago, but only recently managed to work on adding memorials, avoiding duplications, and photographs.
Now Iíll have to leave it for a month because Iíll have infrequent access to the internet.

Pleased to help. Feel free to copy and paste an inscription from a parent of Lieut Watson if you want.
I didnít have time to have a thorough look round and havenít found a headstone for Harry Neil. Maybe next year.
Are you happy for me to leave both the ďbeforeĒ and ďafterĒ photos of Private Serviceís headstone?

Sorry i goofed up. I clicked the wrong option and removed your request by mistake. I have submitted another request for his headstone photograph. I am planning on contacting the CWGC about several new headstones so will enquire if this one is in place yet.

You asked if Find A Grave memorial for Edwin Chadwell.
Is this St Mary Churchyard?
No, it is Saint Laurence Church Yard, at Slough.

Thanks for that. I made a screenshot and managed to upload the photo the right way. I've uploaded it on the IWPP ref: 59279981 and I'll delete my page - its too confusing! I was hoping FindaGrave would be able to merge the two cemeteries but sounds like it might be difficult...

Hello. Thank you for sending the edits over. I am happy to accept them but since uploading the pictures (I went there to find my great grandparents graves) I have found that the cemetery was already on the website but under a slightly different name. It may be better to add the edits there as it was set up by International Wargraves - ref 59279981
And I am sorry the photo is not the correct way - I take them on my phone and then find it goes sideways when it loads up. If you make those edits I can add the photo to the IWPP page and try and get it the right way up.

|Alankmatthews||RE: James Small.|
We live in Perth and had our first visit to Scone Palace today where the graveyard is located.
There was another grave with the name William Galletly who died in 1902 aged 75 and his wife Jane Gardiner who died in 1903 aged 86. I wonder if they are related to James Small.
I took a photo of the stone if it is of interest to you.
Where in the world are you from?

Thank you hope you will find it useful. Let me know if you would like more images.

Firstly I would like to say thank you for all the hard work and commitment you've given to provide answers for many people searching for their family. I was so sad to learn you've not found your Father's resting place. I am on ancestry and if you feel I could help in your search please don't hesitate to contact me.
