Bio Photo First I want to say a big "thank you" to everyone who leaves my twins and family tokens, I am very grateful.

My dad died in 1972 when I was 9 days old and to this day I have not been able to find his resting place which is why I do what I'm doing here as I know how hard it is to find a loved one's resting place.

I can go to cemeteries in Enfield, Edmonton, Cheshunt, Chingford, Clacton, Colchester, Feltham, Heathrow, Waltham Abbey, Walthamstow and areas around them, maybe I can go further out, all depends how far. I can help with your searching for your loved ones grave in England if your not in England. I can also help with any research you may want help with in the same areas or in the UK if you are from a different country. I have the National Burial Index, second edition and will get the third when it is available, so if you would like me to do a look up, then just ask and I will quite happily.

If there is a memorial I have done for a loved one of your family and you would like it removed/changed or transfered then please email me and I will do it for you, or if there is any mistakes or anything else wrong with a memorial I have done please let me know.

A noteworthy inscription found on a soldier’s headstone in an English country churchyard reads:

Take nothing but photographs

Kill nothing but time

Leave nothing but Footprints

All My Ancestors Are Behind Me.
"Be Still," They Say.
"Watch And Listen.
You Are The Result Of
The Love of Thousands"

RE: Aldershot Military Cemetery -photo request
I happen to be surveying that cemetery - so I thought I'd shock you with such a speedy reply to your request .

Thank you very much for your usual excellent photos for the following memorials:
- Harold P. Byars, #56288287
- Theodore K. Roberts, #56293791
- Zeno W. Mapes, #56292048
- James McDonough, #56292283
- Harold L. Rogers, #56293846
- Thomas Walker, #56295274
- Carmello Vinciguerro, #56295216

I especially like the way you lightly highlight the name within a sizeable group of names - it gives one an idea of the wall itself as well as showing where the name is located.

Again, "Thank you".

You're absolutely, right regarding the locations being recorded as they were at the time....

Birkenhead (and all of what is 'Wirral' was part of the county of Cheshire until local government reorganisation in 1974 when, for some reason that made sense only to the politicians, the whole area became part of 'Merseyside'. It's very confusing for anyone who doesn't know the area because find a grave show only present day 'geography'.
'Wirral' is not the only place with similar confusions unfortunately and it's down to 1974 again.
Best regards

RE: previous message
Absolutely correct - one of a small number of memorials INSIDE the church. As a mirror image of your own - I added the gravestone to your page - reread your notes - thought 'really!' - then remembered the brass plaque. I'll add another one for company.

The plot you gave is insufficient. You also need the section letter beforehand and they run from A TO Z. The plot No. you have given could be anywhere within the Cemetery.

Hi - Just letting you know that without the grave site details you may never get someone to take a headstone pic for you. The Cemetery is a large one and it would be impractical for a volunteer to seek out one particular grave site.

You can request grave site details from the Mitcham Council via this email.
