Questions regarding burials at Oak Hill Cemetery, Richfield-Minneapolis, Mn. @ 5901 Lyndale Ave. send me an email. LJP and I have transcribed the burial records. A yellow sunflower on the flower selection on any grave means there is no marker.

If sending me an email please note: there is an underscore between rachel & keller.

I am more than happy to link family members and add additional information. Please only ask for transfers when your intent is to add biographies, life stories, or meaningful information or have many children to connect.

Families I am researching: Keller of York Co., Pa., Ohio, Iowa: Pearce/Pierce of Ohio, Iowa: Bartlett of W.Va and Kansas: Thompson of Ohio, Illinois and Nebraska, Darst of Ohio & Illinois, Hanson and Clendennen of Pa.

Pay it forward! Take a few photo's of someplace close to where you live and post them. It may be someone's "brick wall".

RE: Minnie Gamelgard
Rachel,

Yes, he did have a nice life from what I understand from my mother in laws family. The Gammelgards gave him to a childless couple that they knew and the couple raised him. Mrs. Gammelgard and her daughters would see him often visiting and he knew them as family friends. He did not find out until 1940 that he was adopted upon his adoptive mothers death. The Goehringer family knew nothing of the child as the parents Minnie/Christian were on and off that she was concerned with letting him know about having him. He had trouble providing and possibly some mental health issues based on the end situation. Thank you for adding the information. I grew up three blocks from a cemetery and have always been fascinated with the fact everyone has a story!

hi - You took the picture of his stone in Oak Hill Cemetery. Do you mind if I use the picture for my Ancestry tree?

Thank you. He served in the Civil War, calvary and navy. I'll be sending you some edits for the memorial. I'm working the Neves family.
