I first discovered FindAGrave when trying to research the paternal side of my family. I still have a major brick wall with that line, but get a great deal of satisfaction helping other people break through theirs. |
I especially like to document older cemeteries, and also enjoy filling photo requests.
When I'm out filling photo requests, I'll post pages for others in the same area, or a marker that has touched me in some way. If it turns out that one of them is your family member, please let me know and I'll gladly fix any errors, transfer ownership, or delete it if you prefer. My purpose is only to show respect and make sure everyone is remembered.
I'm happy to share photos with family members for personal, non-commercial use, and will gladly send full resolution versions, as long as the photo was taken recently and still resides on my computer - LOL!

I do live in McCurtain County. If you'd like to transfer the memorials to me, I'll take any or all of the ones in McCurtain County. I have gone to several cemeteries taking photos & adding them to the memorials. I have located three cemeteries (ones not on Find A Grave yet) created the cemeteries, created memorials & added photos of the grave stones. I am working on locating a few more (as I get time). And I go to the library 2 or 3 times a month, getting obits & census information and adding or sending the information to the memorials. Also, I'm a firm believer in family managing the memorials-I will gladly transfer memorials to family. I don't wait for them to ask, if a family member sends flowers, & a message about being related, I ask them if they'd like to manage the memorial. I've transferred several that way. I'll take the memorials, work on them as fast as I can, get as much info as I can added & will transfer any of them to family. Thanks

I saw where you left a candle on her site in the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego. Is she part of your family tree? I think she belongs to the McCluskey family tree. Her father might be CB McCluskey. I think Earl A. Stewart in the same cemetery is her husband. They originally lived in Chicago. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks! Sally

You added a photo of the 2006 Mass grave at the Los Angeles County Crematory Cemetery to Donna P. Risley's memorial....
My cousin Frank Scalla is in the same exact mass grave. I posted a request for his photo. Could you please fulfill the request by adding that photo?
THANKS A MILLION!

Thank you for writing back. Thanks for the info on the Historical Society. If you ever do get a chance to see that stone again and can make anything out, I would love an email any time!
Thanks, again, Charlene
