Genealogy is a passion of mine from when I was very young. My grandmother told me wonderful stories about our families and I have been doing family history for over 30 years. I have traveled all over the world photographing family graves and writing books on my different families. I need another 25 years to finish everything I have started!|
PLEASE do not add birth or death certificates to my memorials!

Hi Karen, thank you for replying. I would rather you keep the memorial, since I am kind of new with regard to making or maintaining memorials. I would rather add information to already existing memorials.
I think that the other memorial has been removed or deleted, I can not bring it up now.
George is my grandfather and I would be glad to take his memorial or I can send you info to update it; whichever you prefer. Thanks so much. Kathie
Hey Karen, it's November but I still haven't been up to the Major cemetery in Rappahannock County, near Viewtown, VA (part of the original Culpeper County)... Will have to wait until after Thanksgiving now. Realistically, it probably will have to wait until January. It won't be today, that's for sure... it's been WAY too warm... snake city! Besides, I'm having back spasms, God's way of reminding me I'm mortal. Wish He (She?) would stop, I got the message a long time ago. Will let you know when I finally get up there (with my son-in-law!) Best regards, Pete

Thanks for the fast edit Karen...hope each day you are feeling a bit better!
|Jon Horn||RE: Standish|
You are welcome. I have been doing research on people who were Indian Agents for the Ute and Colorado and New Mexico. I find the Find A Grave information to be quite helpful, so am trying to update biographies when possible.

How sure are you that he died at Huntington, Cheshire?
I have a probate record saying he died at Werrington, Northamptonshire. I have not found a burial, but I would expect him to be buried either locally, or at Bishop Auckland, Durham where he was born, or at Gedney, Lincolnshire where his father was born.

You're welcome and I am trying to link as many as I can since that is where I grew up in Virginia. I know the area and the people.

Thank you for your kind words! Find A Grave is definitely a team effort and I appreciate your hard work for Find A Grave too! Keep up the good work!
|Tom Brocher||RE: John D. McRaith|
I'm sorry that I was not clear in my first message.
I have already asked A.Firefly to delete her duplicate memorial for John D McCraith.
The issue I was attempting to address is that you created two memorials for a John McRaith.
The first, #90682998, is for a John born 1821 in Ireland and died 24 Aug. 1887. I posted a closeup of the inscription of his marker at Section B, Row 4, Area 39, Grave 4 that confirms this information. The photo clearly shows the inscription for a Ann Gahagan McRaith (1791-1881) who is buried with this John.
The other, #90734164, lists no birth or death date but states in the bio that John died in 1935 and that his wife died in 1934. Yet, he is linked to a spouse, Ann Gahagan McRaith (1791-1881). I believe this memorial to be a mistake.
The SF Genealogy site has an entry for only one John McRaith in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, for the first John's reinterment in HCCC in 1903. Would it be possible for you to verify the accuracy of the memorial of #90734164 who died in 1935?
I am sorry that my previous message was confusing. I hope that this message is clearer.
|Veronica Jordan||RE: Antonio Larios|
I'm pretty convinced Antonio died in SF and was buried in Holy Cross and later moved to the San Juan Bautista cemetery. You know, they didn't have refrigeration for bodies when he died, maybe the intent was always that he would go to San Juan to rest with more of his family, and Holy Cross was temporary? It has to be the same guy, no way two Antonio/Anton Larios' died on the same day. I was suprised to see the obit because there is no record of him in the Holy Cross records on sfgenealogy.
