Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy is a passion of mine from when I was very young. My grandmother told me wonderful stories about our families and I have been doing family history for over 30 years. I have traveled all over the world photographing family graves and writing books on my different families. I need another 25 years to finish everything I have started!

PLEASE do not add birth or death certificates to my memorials!

Thank you Karen. I had never been to Yeocomico church until I was at a family reunion nearby, 3 years go. My husband had been there as a child and then for several family funerals. What a lovely place it is.

You are quite welcome. I am glad that you elected to post the obit in it's entirety as so many other contributors elect not to do and, in my opinion, this is doing a great disservice to future family researchers as obits oftentimes offer a vast amount of family info that will not be found anywhere else in a few years time.

Gordon B. ROCKWELL
In regards to Gordon B. ROCKWELL wife Minnie she was Minnie Malinda MILLER (1858-1942) of Nova Scotia. Minnie died 1942 in San Mateo, California.
Gordon or Gurdon Rockwell was also born in Nova Scotia they were married in 1880 in N.S. and came to Calif. sometime in the late 1880's.

RE: Elizabeth Gaines
Hi Karen. I sponsored the memorials of the children of William Morton Watins and Elizabeth Woodson Venable Watkins. I did not sponsor any of the Gaines grandchildren.

Marinus C. Valois
Painting of V.T Herckenrath by J.F. Valois
Hello Karen,

Sorry to bother you ,

Name is Marinus C. Valois a descendant of the 3 Dutch Portrait painters, the second half of 1800
For some time Iím arranging a DateBase of their work. Itís a difficult and long lasting job.
Over the years I have found about 180.
Recently the RKD, Netherlands Institute for Art History at The Hague www.RKD.nl , placed a request on their website
http://website.rkd.nl/rkdenglish/Call_for_information/call-for-work-by-the-three-valois-painters

Some days ago I received news / information from Frederik H.K. van Andel with an image of Virginia Theresa Herckenrath 1925-1890 , she was married with Jacobus ( James) de Fremery.
Mr. F.H.K. van Andel is unknown about the paintings present position.
My question is do you know anything about this painting and is the painting still in the family property. In case you know the location , will it be possible to receive a high resolution color JPG image and information about the size and technique used and of course who is the copyright owner.
Are there more paintings in the family by a VALOIS painter??
In case the painting was sold at an auction, do you know the auction house?
Thank you very much for your attention
Hope to hear from you
Regards
Marinus C. Valois

RE: Leopoldina Gonzales
Her picture is what stopped me in my tracks while I was searching for another stone for a photo request! Did you, by chance, send the "bio" you put on your original one over to the memorial that I put the photos onto? I really wish I knew the story behind that. It's just so... wow. No words.

Thank you Karen. I have submitted the cemetery description again. I must have done something wrong earlier. Have a safe trip home and I will look forward to seeing you later this year. Susan
