UPDATE: April 23,2016|
I have just come home from the hospital fighting pneumonia. Please be patient as I have a long road back to good health. I Will try and check my messages each day. Thank you.......
Genealogy is a passion of mine from when I was very young. My grandmother told me wonderful stories about our families and I have been doing family history for over 30 years. I have traveled all over the world photographing family graves and writing books on my different families. I need another 25 years to finish everything I have started!
PLEASE do not add birth or death certificates to my memorials!

If is the Ida K. Gaines that was married to Henry Johnson Gaines in SC I have info on all buried there if you need any.
|Tempest||RE: Melvina Messer|
Thank you for taking the time to create her memorial. Her mother died when she was a little girl and her father was incarcerated around 1900. As a result, she and her sister were put in an Orphan's Asylum in Baltimore, Maryland. Her sister was Marie Messer and I am still searching for her. I believe she may have married.
Thanks again for all your hard work. Take care.

Hi Karen, Hope your feeling better. According to Find A Grave records this gentleman already has a memorial 354655 and is buried in the Ft. Scott National Cemetery per US Veteran Affairs. I was hoping you wouldn't mind deleting this memorial. Thank you for your consideration. Karen
|Mark Utley||RE: Marjorie Gibson|
Thanks Karen, kind words indeed from one who has faced danger in the backwoods of NC hunting down elusive tombstones! Glad I could stumble across the info to link Marjorie to her parents...if we all keep doing this, one step at a time, FindAGrave will become the Wikipedia of genealogy!
All my best, Mark
|Lynda Frohman||RE: Alma Culver|
Her story is so sad it touched me.
I always smile when your name shows up in my inbox, you are always so positive and kind. Thanks for your support.
Yes, I got it at work. Thanks! I was just composing a reply when your message came though on my profile page. I think my wife has had a change of heart about the treatments. At least she says so now. We'll see what happens. I have noticed that her hands tremble more when she does the treatments, but the alternative is worse! I'll send you an e-mail reply in a couple of minutes.
|Shiredweller||RE: R U OK?|
Please keep doing the breathing treatments. To not do so would severely shorten your life. M y wife has steadfastly refused to do the treatments as prescribed for the last 3 years or so... at most she does one per day (and she is supposed to do 3 or 4). As a result, she nearly died this time around. Rehab will take forever and will be all for nothing if she comes home and refuses the treatments again. For some reason this is a common thing among people who are supposed to do these treatments. Please do not allow yourself to slip into that trap!
