Genealogy is a passion of mine from when I was very young. My grandmother told me wonderful stories about our families and I have been doing family history for over 30 years. I have traveled all over the world photographing family graves and writing books on my different families. I need another 25 years to finish everything I have started!

PLEASE do not add birth or death certificates to my memorials. Thank You...

Rose Hill Cemetery & Templetons
This cemetery sure seems like they have a great deal of regulations, especially related to photographs!

Regarding the Templeton family....
Joseph Crittenden Templeton, 1858-1951
Find A Grave Memorial# 39001740

He is our family's great uncle, brother to my husband's great grandmother, Blanche from Logan Co, KY.

If you go to his mem, see the great photo I put up of him. This entire family is remarkable. Eight boys and one girl. I have tried to write some bios, link family, and post family photos, All were well-educated, mostly at Stanford. They are engineers, educators, lawyers, one was even an Olympian.

Another wing of the Templeton family includes, Sir John Marks Templeton, founder of Franklin-Templeton financial investment firm.
Find A Grave Memorial# 28120329

There is a book published in July 1948 by the Sebastopol Times (Sebastopol, CA. It is called "Chronicles of a Pedagogue" by Joseph Crittenden Templeton. He was a son of John Wesley Templeton and a nephew of Solomon Templeton.

An interesting family for sure! Thanks for your note!

Karen, I just happened across the photo of the stone you posted on my relative's mem page. Thank you so much. As far as I know, the information I received from the cemetery was correct on the location of her stone:
Plot: Section B, Lot, 169, CT 1/3
I do not know why the other person posted the "No marker". Thank you for the photo.

RE: Broome
Sorry, I don't think we're related. I don't have any Abbie Wallis in my family tree, and no Selvey families either. My family has a lot of connections to Tennessee, but not Monroe County. We're mostly in Houston, Stewart and Montgomery counties. My 4th great grandfather was John Etheldred "Dred" Boone. His daughter Susan Boone married John Broome in what was then Stewart County in about 1828. John Broome was born in Tennessee according to the census data, but I've no idea where yet. The family trees could still meet up, but right now my John Broome is a brick wall.

Nice visiting,
David Wallis

I do not have a problem deleting mine as I am not family. It is funny that we both were thinking of her on the same day.

RE: Gaines
That means you're also a member of the Madison family too, since James Gaines' mother was Catherine Madison, great aunt of President James Madison.
