Within a few minutes of a friend telling me about Find A Grave, I found my great-great grandparents' gravestone in Hopedale Cemetery, Christian Co., MO. They were Gabriel and Talitha Reynolds McMullin. First I let out a shriek! then I sat looking at the picture, tears falling down my face. I never thought I'd see their final resting place. I've added old photos of their family to their pages. I'm still hoping to make contact with someone there. (Success!) Thank you to their visitors for honoring them with flowers and tokens, they are appreciated. |
Since that day I have found other ancestors on Find A Grave. A special thank you to M. Correll and "jtf" for so many of the Wayne County, KY memorials and photos. The photos taken by Ronald Bicknese in Bills Creek Cemetery are also very special treasures. I will always be thankful for his effort to find my York 4th great-grandparents in that remote cemetery. Thanks to Robie Prater for his many photos and book HACKWORTHS AND RELATED FAMILIES in Floyd County KY.
Sincere appreciation to God's Special Angel for sponsoring our Mommaw and Poppaw Estes. They were sweet, gentle people. Thanks to all who have left flowers and tokens for them, and for other family and friends.

Hi Darla, you are very welcome. Moochie likes to make sure all furry and not so furry kids are remembered. I am so sorry to see you lost your precious husband last year. Hugs, Rosie

I have 2 articles concerning Maude's death from tuberculosis and her burial obit. I can send them to you if you'd like to include them in her memorial. I didn't want to add them without your permission.
Thanks for posting her memorial! Linking family always makes it easier for other researchers.

Over Winter!!! How about You??? Hey cuz, I am not related to Kempers. I took photos of half the markers in Freedom Cemetery back in the fall of 2011 and need to return and do the rest. I just have not - you know how that is. I was looking through my photos and decided to fill the photo request that I could. Take care, Tim

Darla, glad to see you have this photo. I also found it today in a back issue of "Kentucky Explorer" Dec 2008/Jan 2009 back issue that a friend had given me lots of back issues of.
|JASON Of England✥||Thank You|
Thank you Darla, and thank you so much for adding the information, and that was just so kind of you to do that, and i know that my dad would be have been very please too. Take care, and thanks again. Blessings. Jason.
|JASON Of England✥||Blood group|
That's a real shame Darla that you are unable to donate your O negative blood as i know it can be very useful, and especially in emergencies as you know. We used to get a lot of adds on TV for blood donors and especially back in the 70s but you rarely see any adds for blood donors these days, or at least not so many. I did have a longer message but it went under review. Anyway take care and have a great weekend. Jason
|JASON Of England✥||Thank you Darla|
Hi Darla, just wanted to say thank you for the kind message you left for my dad, and i'm just so happy because many people like my dad and others who take time out of the lives to donate their blood never really get the thanks they deserve other than when they have given a blood donation. So it was just so kind of you to give thanks to him, and i know he would be very happy to know that someone who's loved one has actually benefited from blood that has been donated by others like him. And as we know that becoming a blood donor isn't something we have to do, and really is something you feel you want to do, and its so nice to think that even though my dd is no longer with us its wonderful to think that many people will have benefited on lived on because of the many wonderful people who make the decision to become a blood donor and take the time out to donate it. And again i am just so pleased that you have given such kind thanks to him as i know he would be just so happy to know that someone as actually thanked him. God bless you my dear friend and have a lovely weekend. Jason. P.S Thank you so much for your kind birthday wishes, and thank you also for adding me to your friends, and if its OK i would like to add you to mine also. Blessings. Jason.

I am most interested to have found your entry for my grandmother's half-sister, Freddie. Obviously you were close to her. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that you have posted the only photo I've seen -- and possibly the only one ever seen by a member of my family -- of my great grandmother, Gladys Josephine Craft Vannucci. (She married my great grandfather, George Martin, when they were each 15 in Evansville.) The family would be thrilled to have a high quality digital of this picture and any other you might have if it is possible. Could you please contact me? My email address in with my bio. Thank you.
