Bio
Don Porter, son of Leslie W. & Elsie (Smith) Porter, was born in Brockton, Plymouth Co., 26 Feb 1925. He was educated in Brockton school system graduating Brockton High School Class of 1943. He served in the navy as a pharmacist mate stationed overseas in the Pacific War Theater in WWII assigned to the Fleet Marine Force.
He graduated Boston University Class of 1950 with BS in Education.
He became employed in the Professional Service of the Boy Scouts of America and served for 35 years in various Scout Councils. He retired in 1985 and has been involved in genealogy since 1989.
