Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

U R WELCOME FOR BOTH
|Jane||Sarah Hutchings (1846-1927)|
You have a photo request for Sarah in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah. Her death certificate that is attached says she is buried in Springville. There are two cemeteries in Springville--one is the Evergreen Cemetery and the other is Springville City Cemetery. Sarah is buried in the Springville City Cemetery and there is a photo of her memorial stone there.

You put in a request for pictures of Hiram Savage's grave in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
The cemetery told me that he is not there, that they only did the cremation and sent the ashes to Lake Oswego and I am presuming that means they sent them to the family in Lake Oswego and it is hard to say when, where, or even if they interred him and one guess, if they did, it might have been in Lake Oswego??
I am informing the person who made his page to change the page to an unknown burial page.

You're welcome :) Ann
|Bruce and Wendy Linz||William Pearson|
There is no headstone for William Pearson in the Memphis National Cemetery. If he is buried here he is in a grave marked with a headstone for an unknown soldier. I do have a photo of an "Unknown U. S. Soldier" headstone I could load on William Pearson's memorial if you'd like. Please let me know.

You are very welcome.
You have a photo request for Charles W. Funkhouser (1920-1935) in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, White County,IL. There was no stone with these dates, but one for Charles W. Funkhouser 1920-1920. It is a joint stone with Opal Faye Funkhouser 1923-1923. Is this the same Charles Funkhouser you are looking for? If so, let me know and I will upload the photo. Thanks!
