Bio

My name is Cindy
. Originally from Bradford and West Newbury MA, I now live in sunny Clearwater, FL.

For as long as I can remember, I've beeen interested in cemeteries. Some people see cemeteries as sad, morbid places and some see them as scary or spooky. I see so much beauty in a cemetery. I see stories of lives lived and relationships carried on beyond this world and onto an entirely different level. I don't feel that when someone leaves this world, they're gone forever. I believe that this is only one phase of our experience.

My own experiences have taught me to make the most of this life and not to fear the next, rather to look forward to it with the knowledge that the end of my life "here" will be the beginning of a new and amazing journey "there".

I spend many, many hours exploring cemeteries all over the US and many times, come across the old, abandoned, unkept graves of children. I "adopt" them. I clean up and take care of the graves. I visit them regularly and decorate them to look nice. I just feel that this is an easy and extremely rewarding way to recognize and acknowledge that theirs was a life led. No matter how young they were, they were here. Someone loved them and if those people can't be here to take care any longer, I love doing it for them.

This is a true labor of love and I get so much more from it than I can ever express.

I'm currently working on a project which will become a book honoring the memories of people who've passed and the relationships they held with their family and friends. If you'd be interested in participating or learning more, please feel free to contact me. I have been working with hundreds of families all over the US and I have met some amazing, uplifting and wonderful people. I feel incredibly honored that so many people have welcomed me into their lives in such a personal way.

Please see the link below to find an article written in the Eagle Tribune, describing part of what I do as part of Living To Tell.
