Lieut Clinton Leet Barnhart
Mr Howell,
The picture of the bearded man on the profile of Lieut Clinton Leet Barnhart is not Clinton Leet.
This is a picture of his grandfather Peter Barnhart Jr 1787 Somerset Co PA-1876 Independence Iowa.
I am the owner of this original photo and it was uploaded to by a 3rd party without my permission.
However I will allow this photo to be used by this website and but only if it is attached to Peter Barnhart Jr and no one else.
Please remove this photo from Clinton Leet Barnhart.

Civil war veterans
I have seen the wonderful work that you have done with the civil war veterans. I am completing a book a friend started on veterans in Western MI. I am having trouble getting tombstones for unmarked graves. Would love to talk to you!

Thanks for letting me know. Mine was a dupe and I deleted it. Be sure to let me know if you come across any others. I was (and still am) confused on these two cemeteries during this time period.

Oscar Stout
Hi, thanks so much for the memorial for Oscar Stout. Where did you find the record of him being a POW? He's my ancestor and I'd love to find out more about this. Thanks.
