>Thank you for your correction on Robert's >Tombstone.

You're welcome.

>I'm leaving it as Derrie, they misspelled names on >the census a lot, too.

Okay. That's so true on tombstones, census records and other primary records. Different spellings all over the place!

RE: James Nearhoof and Michael
Hi Again! Annie, who created the memorials for Michael D & Elizabeth Nearhoof, made the corrections right away. So we can now link James and his siblings to their parents.
(father) Michael D Nearhoof # 155068674,
and (mother) Elizabeth # 155068744 at the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. Thanks again so much for your input.

EF Nearhoof & Michael Nearhoof
Hi Again:
I took a look at 155068674 (E F Nearhoof). The Gravestone clearly has the name Michael D Nearhoof engraved on it. So therefore the relationship to Elizabeth and James would be correct. I'll contact the contributor regarding it.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

EF Nearhoof vs Michael Nearhoof
The marriage records for James Clark Nearhoof clearly reflects "Michael D Nearhoof and Elizabeth Nearhoof" as his parents. Also, the 1880 U.S. Census reflects the complete family of Michael D Nearhoof, which is the same as what his descendant (Pelter) submitted to our Nearhoof Family book, and Thus far, the only E F Nearhoof is the person on the findagrave sie which reflects that E F Nearhoof is a "calculated relationship". The documents reflected above is proof of the relationship between James Clark Nearhoof and Michael Nearhoof.

RE: James Nearhoof
Hi Joan;
I'm sorry I can't explain what another person entered as James Clark Nearhoof's father. I Know for certain that Michael D Nearhoof is the father. I am a (Nearhoof) direct descendant and have the Nearhoof book that we all collaborated about 20 years ago (A cousin Ralph Nearhoof put it all together). It's a wonderful book, and as I go through it, I do additional research because a lot has been found through census records, vital records, etc since then. The great-great grandson of Michael agrees. He has pictures that were published in our book in 2004 of James, Esther, Almeda and Earl.
I'll see if I can find out who E.F.Nearhoof is! I didn't see any reference to E.F though on James memorial.
Thanks for the info, I'll have some fun this evening hopefully to discover who E.F. was. I'll let you know!

Thomas Robert Chilton
Thanks for adding the obituary for Thomas Robert Chilton!

He's somewhat loosely related.. His uncle - mother's brother - adopted the baby who is my 2x great-grandfather in about 1860. Just figured it out today, glad to have found the obituary to add to his memorial here too! Not sure if you have any connection to him or not - just curious in case we're somewhat distantly related cousins.

Thanks again!
