Bio and Links
Bio Photo The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

Phebe Wells Hoffman #82943270
Phebe does not come up on "searches" if you use 2 names for her last name. Since Peter was her husband at time of death and the Hoffman name was used in obit., it is better to use just the Hoffman name in the surname field and then just list and just link Otto Zahn as one of her 2 husbands.

hope this helps.

Kitty Angel
Ida May McCoskey Mather
FYI -- the Davis Family History by Lulie Davis 1963 states the following (Ida was a daughter of Susannah Davis married to William A. McCoskey)
After Ida and John separated Ida and her daughter Burnetty moved to Montana on 28 July 1914 where she worked. In January 1918 they went to California on account of Burnetty's health…but she died on 23 March 1918. In May 1919 Ida kept house for her cousin, Willard Parr in Colton, Ca. After he died on 14 Dec 1928 she kept the store. She died in California in an automobile wreck, driving her own car in 1929.
Ida is my 1st cousin 2x removed.
regards, Kitty Sears Angel - California

Smileys in CA
Hi, looks like you've found a lot of my Smiley family in CA. Was wondering if you were related as well, or just coincidence.

If related, I would love to figure out if we match up somewhere and exchange info!

Antreen McDonnell Pfau
Antreen McDonnell Pfau died on August 17, 2011 in Napa, CA, as stated in the detailed paragraphs on

The date shown for her death, August 7, 2011, is incorrect and should be changed. The paragraph contains the correct date of August 17, 2011.

Dr. John M. Pfau, husband of Antreen McDonnell Pfau
Dr. John Martin Pfau died in Napa, CA on March 18, 2012. He was my uncle, and he was the husband of my mother's older sister Antreen Eileen McDonnell Pfau.
My mother was Jean Ann McDonnell Gilbert, who died December 26, 2001 in Michigan.
John M. Pfau was the former (and first) president of California State University, San Bernardino.
Napa Valley Register dated 3-21-2012 has an obituary article about Antreen & John Pfau of Napa, CA.

Tracing the Perkins Family #21983463
I have been spending quite a bit of time researching this family lately and am going to submit a number of edits for a couple of memorials you hold. Mainly family links but will include other facts if there are death/birth certificates. I just wanted to give you a heads up when you see a lot of Perkins edit requests come through. I'm not going to ask for transfers bc she was my 3rd cousin and that seems out of the guidelines (?). I have also (unbelievably) found photos of all the family and permission to upload is pending. Thanks for taking the time to read :) RC

The Jacinto Family
Thank you for adding the information. They are distant relatives of my husband so I thought the articles would be best cared for under your management. Thank you for all of your contributions. - Terri
