My mother Challas Cleo Harper Massey was the impetus for starting to document: first our family documents, and then to connect our family with generations present and past, and sidewise to fill in an understanding of the whole picture. Challas had been at the end of so many trees without a word about this tiny but potent woman that I started with her tree and every scrap of information I have about her and placed it on ancestry.com: Challas Cleo Harper Massey Family Tree. Find a Grave opened a large opportunity not only to find my family, but to contribute my collection to help others. I was privileged to travel to Van Alstyne, Caddo Mills, Longview, Alba, Golden and Gainesville Texas; Ada, OK; and Prairie Grove, Arkansas October 2014 to meet family and visit cemeteries and will add what I collected to Find a Grave. Families: Harper, Massey, Bohannon/an, Parker, Bennett, Arthur (Auther), Vannetten, Stillwell, Haney, Chronister, Evans, Swatsenbarg, Knight, Jordan, and more I haven't researched as yet.
