--several years ago I heard someone say, "...when someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure..." As I try to wrap my heart around the loss of my sweet mother (June K, -- aka: "June-Bug"!) this week, these words are painfully true...as I count the many "treasures" I have of her and my Dad, Clifford K. (who went home a few years ago)...some as recent as a couple weeks ago when my husband I were so blessed to travel across the country to visit her, knowing in our hearts, it would probably be our last visit...my sweet mother walking down a hallway to give me a hug, with the biggest smile ever, and a twinkle in her eyes is a memory I will always treasure...although my mother battled ALZ. the last three years of her life, she never lost her sweet spirit and sense of humor...and though our hearts are heavy, I know for certain, my mother truly "went home for Christmas" this year...all prayers for our family are appreciated, Karen K. & Family
