Bio and Links
Bio Photo Recently retired. Love to fish, especially warmwater, freshwater gamefish species. Used to ice fish, but need a warmer non-summer activity. Thought Find-A-Grave might fit that opening, at least through the transition months. Both activities center around the central western portion of the Finger Lakes Region in Western New York. In 2010, caught and released a 20 1/2 inch largemouth in Honeoye, a 20 1/4 inch largemouth in Canandaigua, a 21 inch smallmouth in Keuka, a 40 1/4 inch northern in Keuka, and a 27 inch chain pickerel in Canandaigua. You've got to love the beauty of the hills, the richness of the farm lands, the water resources, and the history of the Finger Lakes and it's inhabitants.

Charles C. Carr
Hi Gone Fishing...,
Thanks for the work you have done to help so many people searching for information about their families. You have helped me correct a fact that I had wrong as well!
However, I have found that there is a mistake on the page of Charles C. Carr in Evergreen Cemetery. Find A Grave Memorial #67625231
According to the Yates County Swann Records Collection 1723-2009 - the Vital Records Card for Charles C. Carr tells that his birthplace was Campbell Town in Steuben County New York. I think this is correct because his brother Nathan was also born in Steuben County and his father's land was there.
He also had two other siblings that someone did not include in his family:
1. a sister - Maria Carr Preston Alexander 1830-1909
and
2. a brother - Nathan Tracy Carr 1833-1885
Would you please correct the mistake of his birthplace and add the rest of his family so that his information is complete. I would appreciate it, and it would help all of the others who visit his page.
Thank you again,
TRB

Thanks so much for beautiful photos on the above sites. Is the son Phil buried at the same location? Perhaps, a tombstone hasn't been placed yet. I appreciate your time in visiting and photographing the gravesites. Richard
