Bio and Links
Bio Photo Recently retired. Love to fish, especially warmwater, freshwater gamefish species. Used to ice fish, but need a warmer non-summer activity. Thought Find-A-Grave might fit that opening, at least through the transition months. Both activities center around the central western portion of the Finger Lakes Region in Western New York. In 2010, caught and released a 20 1/2 inch largemouth in Honeoye, a 20 1/4 inch largemouth in Canandaigua, a 21 inch smallmouth in Keuka, a 40 1/4 inch northern in Keuka, and a 27 inch chain pickerel in Canandaigua. You've got to love the beauty of the hills, the richness of the farm lands, the water resources, and the history of the Finger Lakes and it's inhabitants.

2014 at Bath
Merry Christmas Charles. Thank again for all the photos you took at Bath National, at my request, this year. It's a beautiful place and your photographs really do it justice. The dignified way you honor our veterans there, by gracing their memorials with your excellent images, is noticed and appreciated.
Best wishes for 2015.

Thank You for the Details
I love your attention to detail of each initialed marker and especially the wonderful plot photos which tell & show so much for us who live so far away. It gives such a special glimpse into the cemetery and placement of the headstones, and perhaps one that is missing or not readable in these very old sections of the cemeteries in New York going back generations. THANK YOU ~j~

Chipmans
To be honest, I don't know where the 1797 date came from as concerns the creator of the Asenath Chipman memorial page. I don't believe I have referenced it anywhere myself. My sources are "The Chipman Family; a Genealogy of the Chipmans in America 1631-1920" by Bert Lee Chipman, which is nearly identical to the earlier "Chipmans of America" by Alberto Lee Chipman (1909). Another source in my possession is the "Tinmouth Historical and Genealogical Society Newsletter" Fall 2003, Vol.5 No.1. None of these sources give Asenath a birth or death date, but simply state that she was the daughter of William and Alethia Fitch of Pawlet, Vt. and she married Lemuel about 1780. It would be nice to find Lemuel's sister Hannah (Chipman) Spafford as well somehow (another relative of mine).
If you would like to email me at zarodoscht@yahoo.com, I could send you attachments of the Tinmouth newsletter. I tried to email you once but got back a mailer-daemon for some reason. Adam

Samuel Chipman
I changed the date of Samuel's birth on my Fitch Chipman page. I can see how an error could have occurred as 6 and 8 can look similar at times, especially if careful attention isn't paid to old or fading documents. My source was an old Chipman family genealogy book. Adam

Sinai Chipman
This is very interesting. I have been looking for this one as well. Everything I have read gives her name as Asenath (Fitch)Chipman. I have little doubt that this is a shortened version of the name, and the version she likely went by in day to day life. There is another memorial on findagrave for Asenath Chipman. Perhaps you could consolidate with that memorial (provided parties are convinced of my assumption about the name.) Thanks again. Adam

RE: Bath
I had to look closey to see what you were talking about. It's not the least bit noticeable. I wouldn't bother reshooting, the picture is great.
Bath is just a beautiful cemetery and the longer shots you upload really give a sense of just how nice it is there.

Charles, thank you for filling all those requests, and doing it so quickly. The images are excellent. And the extra photo showing the site in it's surroundings gives such a great perspective. Thank you.
