Bio and Links
Bio Photo Recently retired. Love to fish, especially warmwater, freshwater gamefish species. Used to ice fish, but need a warmer non-summer activity. Thought Find-A-Grave might fit that opening, at least through the transition months. Both activities center around the central western portion of the Finger Lakes Region in Western New York. In 2010, caught and released a 20 1/2 inch largemouth in Honeoye, a 20 1/4 inch largemouth in Canandaigua, a 21 inch smallmouth in Keuka, a 40 1/4 inch northern in Keuka, and a 27 inch chain pickerel in Canandaigua. You've got to love the beauty of the hills, the richness of the farm lands, the water resources, and the history of the Finger Lakes.

Joudy L. Stape
Gone Fishing,

I found a memorial online that you may wish to add the the bio section of your memorial for Judy Stape at Lakeview Cemetery Penn Yan. I tried to add it via the Find a Grave memoril and website, but their 'Robot' button was not working and it would not let me add anything. That keeps happending to me - what a waste of time...

Here it is:

Pittsford/Penn Yan - Judy Lynn Stape, age 56, passed away, Sunday, June 28, 2015 at The Shepherd Home in Penfield.

Friends may call Sunday (July 5th) from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shepherd Home, P.O. Box 33., Penfield, NY 14526; or to the Yatesville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 708, Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Judy was the daughter of Margaret Chidsey Stape and the late Donald N. Stape. She was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy (1977) and Alfred State College (1979). Judy had worked at Security Trust Bank, and more recently, for Bernard P. Donegan, Inc. in Victor.

Judy was an avid quilter and operated a business, J K Quilts.

Judy is survived by her mother, Margaret Stape; brother, Jerry (Audrey) Stape; sister, Carol Nissen; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Jenn) Stape, Kelly Stape, Christy Jude Adams and James (Jamie) Adams; great-nieces and nephews, Sean Stape, Dylan Stape, Zoe Zeigler, Avery Zeigler, Jamison Adams, Easton Adams and Kailyn Peebles; three aunts, Doris Moniot, Beverly Chidsey and Donna Chidsey; and her best friend, Teri Golisano.

Judy was also predeceased by her dog, Pepper.

Condolences for the Stape family may be sent through www.kenperkinsfuneralhome.com.
