Bio Photo Find A Grave has been a blessing in my genealogical quest, and an unexpected place to find new friends!

I love walking through cemeteries, and getting information and taking photos which I hope will be a help to someone else who is searching for loved ones' resting places.

If any mistakes are found on the memorials I add, please let me know.
If you'd like a memorial transferred to you, please be aware of Find A Grave guidelines (Q&A section of "Contributor Tools"), and use the "Edit" button on the memorial.

RE: William & Rachel Kellogg at Glenwood Cemetery
Thank you for the offer to transfer Rachel to me; however, at this time, I don't think I have a need to have her. I'll save that for someone closer to her line. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness in offering the transfer.

Carol, you're fantastic! Thank you for being a Find A Grave volunteer and going the extra mile to help piece this family together! I will be forever grateful.

RE: Homer Burial site
I think Larry Wales has added the other burials. I have let him know that I created this location so maybe he will move them into it. I had gone through each person listed on inventory and found which were not listed in Glenwood. Those are the ones I created.

I tried to add an image of the original plot from 1863 County map.
(Find A Grave would not include)

RE: Homer Burial site
Must be why the Glenwood book was out when I went in yesterday LOL.
The list I have is only 2 pages. I think it was in the Town of Homer book that is separate from Glenwood. Has the other 18 cemeteries (not all still exist).

Thank you so much for your work on this Carol. Sounds like I've got some more research to do!

I know what you mean about the snow, I'm trying to catalog a cemetery here in Pueblo and it's on hold due to snow as well.

Thanks again!

RE: glenwood - potters field
The readings for all of Cortland Cemeteries are located at the Cortland County Historical Society.

I am really upset now because it appears that someone is driving over the stones with a 4-wheeler or mower.

The small marker when you first walk in, from the early 1930's, might of been put there as a potter's field.

It seems that every time they put on an addition to the elementary school they come across more remains.

glenwood - potters field

Just wanted to let you know that the stones from upper left section of Glenwood is not a Potter's field. They are unclaimed graves from the old village cemetery that was behind the churches. I have created a "Town burial Plot" on Find A Grave and listed the burials from 1940's reading that you had not added to Glenwood.

I will let you decided if you want them added to this new "cemetery" and if you want help moving them let me know.

Thank you for adding them to Find A Grave and your pictures.
