Find A Grave has been a blessing in my genealogical quest, and an unexpected place to find new friends!|
I love walking through cemeteries, and getting information and taking photos which I hope will be a help to someone else who is searching for loved ones' resting places.
If any mistakes are found on the memorials I add, please let me know.
If you'd like a memorial transferred to you, please be aware of Find A Grave guidelines (Q&A section of "Contributor Tools"), and use the "Edit" button on the memorial.

I'm sorry but I see now you had already put the location of the stones with the pics. Boy is someone in trouble!!!
Forgot to ask if it would be ok if I used the photos in my family tree or if you could e-mail me copies?

I want to thank you so much for locating George and his son's headstones!!! Where in the cemetery did you find them? You better not say the left side as you are looking from the road or else my hubby is in a lot of trouble, LOL!
I came home and looked at Cortland Co. genweb and other info I had to make sure we didn't make a mistake, but everything clearly indicates the father and 3 of his son's are buried there! I would've been pretty disappointed to find there were no stones. I KNEW George Jr. HAD to have a military marker as I have a copy of the application filed to request one and it indicated a bronze marker was shipped to Atwater Cemetery.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!! Just wish we had still been there when you found them...We found the other cemetery, too. :)

Thanks again. I have many Rev vets listed on my home page, under Rev&1812, if you are interested in those burials.

Thanks for getting the excellent clear photos for John & Mehetable Titus. In this weather too!! I hope you didn't have to move too much snow.
I'm a little late, but thank you for the pictures of Ery and Mary Picket's headstone!

Re: Mary Young buried in Chipman cemetery, Cayuga County.
I am curious why you have listed as spouse "Elnathan Close" but the inscription says
"wife of Henry Young". Henry is my ancestor (and DAR Patriot).
Did you get your info from ancestry com? Other?
Or does the tombstone/cemetery mention Elnathan Close?
Been trying to figure out if Henry Young's wife Mary is the same Mary (Moe) who married Elnathan Close or a different Mary that everyone has confused.
I have found no death record for the Mary Moe who married Elnathan Close in Connecticut. Divorced?
Hoping you can shed some light.
