Find A Grave has been a blessing in my genealogical quest, and an unexpected place to find new friends!|
I love walking through cemeteries, and getting information and taking photos which I hope will be a help to someone else who is searching for loved ones' resting places.
If any mistakes are found on the memorials I add, please let me know.
If you'd like a memorial transferred to you, please be aware of Find A Grave guidelines (Q&A section of "Contributor Tools"), and use the "Edit" button on the memorial.

You are welcome!
|Michael V Drachman||Kirk, Phillip|
omitted the May in the birth date..

Carol,, very happy to assist..
Regarding the 3rd Son.. as you may be aware.. the 1930, 40 Census show a 3rd son named Phillip. I believe him to be born in 1929, Summerhill which was the Kirk family's home town as near as I can tell without delving into it deeper. A quick search doesn't show a death in this data base but that doesn't mean much either..
I see a Phillip E. Kirk,,, last known address is Lansngithaca, Tompkins county, Ny.. Birth 31, 1928, d April 3, 2002,, zip 14882,
lol,, lat 42.5792, Long -765529,, most likely the city,, not the home..
This Phillip lived to 73 years, 10 month 3 days..
This Phillip makes sense as the family lived very close in Cayuga.. if memory serves.. perhaps a cemetery in that town or the local paper has the obit..
Hope this helps.
Take Care,, have a great year,
|Cindy Coffell||Ellen Smith|

You took the photo of his grave. Thank you! Could you please let me know the name of the cemetery.

Thank you for the offer to transfer Rachel to me; however, at this time, I don't think I have a need to have her. I'll save that for someone closer to her line. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness in offering the transfer.

Carol, you're fantastic! Thank you for being a Find A Grave volunteer and going the extra mile to help piece this family together! I will be forever grateful.

I think Larry Wales has added the other burials. I have let him know that I created this location so maybe he will move them into it. I had gone through each person listed on inventory and found which were not listed in Glenwood. Those are the ones I created.
I tried to add an image of the original plot from 1863 County map. http://maps.bpl.org/id/18268
(Find A Grave would not include)
