Find A Grave has been a blessing in my genealogical quest, and an unexpected place to find new friends!|
I love walking through cemeteries, and getting information and taking photos which I hope will be a help to someone else who is searching for loved ones' resting places.
If any mistakes are found on the memorials I add, please let me know.
If you'd like a memorial transferred to you, please be aware of Find A Grave guidelines (Q&A section of "Contributor Tools"), and use the "Edit" button on the memorial.

|Susie Blackwell||RE: Germain family|
I hope you don't mind I have sent you an email to discuss Germain family.
Thank you for the photo, but I screwed up and created a duplicate memorial so I have to delete it. Sorry to have wasted your time....Rick

Thank you for sending me their obituaries. I've posted them to their memorials.
Thank you so much for these photos. Your work is invaluable and deeply appreciate.
|CC-Genealogy||re: Charles and Sarah DeVoe|
Hmmm.. I wonder where Charles DeVoe who married Sarah ended up at? The calculated year of birth seems like it could be correct, but other information does not seem to support this burial as being him.
Sarah 'should be' Sarah E. WILLIAMS, daughter of Henry Zebina WILLIAMS. (found her listed with her family in the 1860 census at Marshall, Calhoun, Michigan. Her father is Find A Grave Memorial# 127001757.
"Henry Z. Williams, Esq., of Whitewater, Wis., Is visiting his relatives and friends here. Mr. Williams is a son of tho late Zebina Williams, and left here thirty-three years ago, and has returned but once since that time, in 1802. His daughter, Mrs. Charles Dovoe, of this town, has not seen him before in fourteen years. It is pretty safe to say that he is enjoying himself here with his old friends."

Thanks for checking.
|Susie Blackwell||RE: Lottie Minnie Germain Skelton|
First it's nice to meet one of Mike's cousins. We know so little about the Germain/Yantz side of the family.
We were up in Vermont at Lakeview Cemetery last week which is where we got the DOD for Henry and Lottie.
In the plot where they're buried neither Henry (1952), Minnie (1933), Lottie (1927) or Florence (1984)(the grandaughter) have headstones; only daughters Florence (1913) and Mary (1939). When we inquired at the office about having a headstone put on the graves, we were told we'd have to get permission from the heirs. Do you by chance know if Florence E. Germain (the grandaughter who died in 1984) had any children?
Thanks for any information you can provide.
Thanks do much for pic 😃
