Please honor the 1260 children from Camp Vught in the Netherlands who were murdered in the Holocaust. They have a special Children's Monument at the site of the camp. Thank you so much for honoring these precious children.|
I have been researching my genealogy for many years and now have over 14,000 people in my database and in a private genealogy website.
I am a former Navy Nurse (Vietnam Era), civilian nurse, nurse educator, airline pilot and diving instructor. I am still a photographer & do some tutoring in addition to my genealogy work. I enjoy walking cemeteries and taking photos for you.
I have so far found over 2500 relatives and ancestors who were murdered in the Holocaust. I am entering them, one by one, and now have created over 2,100 of their memorials, more than 1350 in Auschwitz alone! They are separated in my virtual cemeteries by camps, and I also created a virtual cemetery for the children. I would be honored if you would stop by to visit them when you are able. I ask only that you refrain from leaving Christian tokens or wording. Thank you so much.
Feel free to add photos to my memorials any time, as long as you have taken them yourself and have not copied them from obituaries. Thanks!!
I am happy to make additions, corrections and family links, and am always grateful for additional information you can send. Please send them using the EDIT feature on the memorial page. I will act on all additions, etc. within 24 hours, if possible.
I would so appreciate if you would stop by my beloved dad's memorial and leave a token so I know you've been there. Thank you so much to those who have already visited him. I have also listed four of my special animal babies & two very special cousins; they would love to see you too. I miss them all. Thank you so very much.
I would like to thank every one of you for visiting my family members & friends. It truly means so very much to me to see all your tokens and notes. You are a very special group of people and I am so grateful to have met you.
In my first virtual cemetery are the children, spouses, and siblings of our Find a Grave family members who have birthdays or Angel Days in August. I hope you will honor them with your kind visits and notes. Below are additional special people to remember in August. I am grateful for your visits.
Special August Birthdays:
Special August Angel Days:
12: Diane's Mom
16: Saralyn's Mom
19: Colleen's Jack-Jack
19: Trooper Johnny Bowman
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

|David McInturff||Regarding your SAC for Patricia Bourke Hook Groves #124807968|
Please look at her bio and parental links. Her middle name is her mother's maiden name. Her maiden name is her father's last name. Her last name is her husband's last name. When middle and maiden names of spouses are included in the inscription on the headstone, there usually is no room to repeat the last name. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of headstones at ANC with the same situation.
Regarding the last word of the inscription, it is "Suffit", the third-person singular present indicative form of the French verb meaning to suffice.
|Colleen Hoover||Thanks again|
For the beautiful token for Jack Jack, Sue. Love, Col
|Colleen Hoover||thanks Sue|
For remembering our anniversary. I tried hard not to cry today, but I couldn't. It helps to have friends like you! Love, Col

You are so welcome. Thank you for your note back. It is an honor for me to leave flowers for my friends and family Birthdays and Angel Days. When I have time I read some of the incredible stories of their lives. Have a wonderful week ahead dear friend. And thank you for all the tokens you leave for my loved ones.
Dear Daddy's Girl: I am hoping that the tokens that I have left for your loved ones murdered in the Holocaust have been appropriate. If there is ever one that is not please let me know and I will remove it. My heart just aches for all of the many deaths during this time. I just would never want to offend. Your friend. Esther

Thank You so much for highlighting Mom - she has received a ton of visitors, and they are still leaving tokens as I type. =) I always mean to write you a nice long catch up, but we're either getting ready for the hospital again (Monday), or I'm wading through my own work on here...a couple of friends just turned their pages over to me to manage, but I'm hardheaded as a one legged man in a sack race, so I'll keep going. ha! Take Care and lots of love - Me and Gannon Blue

Always happy to bring an extra visitor or two to a memorial...that photo, I just burst into tears. =( It always makes you wonder to what degree a human being can 'turn off' their character, compassion and knowledge of what is right to destroy something so precious...sigh. Take Care and stay in touch - Hugs, Me and Gannon Blue
