I am part of a project to research the history, "residents" and eventually to record all inscriptions in Gravesend Cemetery, Kent. I am happy to take photo requests for this cemetery as I am a frequent visitor there. I am always interested to hear from anyone with any information about interesting people buried there, (they certainly don't have to be "famous"!)

I am always willing to transfer ownership of my memorials to relatives.

Thank you!
Thank you for the information. I think he's somewhere along the line. Lots of Johns, Mary's, and Edwards, but the ones I'm finding so far have more than one boy in the line, so I'll have to figure that all out. Puzzles, Puzzles.
Thanks again!

John Chapman 48426886
Hi there, Does the stone/memorial for 48426886 say to whom he was married, or anything about his parents? I'm looking for a John Chapman married to Elizabeth Scott. They also had a son named John Chapman. They're my ancestors, the first who remained in Cambridgeshire, England.

I can't read the stone, so I don't know if this is he. Thank you.

G S Moore memorial
Please would you add the following info to the memorial to Flying Officer G S Moore, who is buried in East Hill Cemetery, Dartford.

Gregor Stephen Moore died aged 21 at Frankton, near Rugby, in a night flying exercise. A Me 410 intruder shot down the plane that Gregor was piloting and collided with its wreckage. All those on board both planes were killed. Locals believed that Gregor deliberately rammed the German plane, but this is not certain. See - for more information and pictures.

Jack Smith /graveyard or church yard
In doing family research I have been lead to Aylesford Church yard, which I believe to be St Peter and St Paul Church Yard in Aylesford, England.

If I am correct in this, I am looking for the burial site of Jack Smith, who was cremated at Jacques Funeral Home, and then the ashes were interned at St Peter and St Paul Churchyard Some time in 1978.

I am hoping you can verify this information for me, as I am concerned regarding the terminology "Churchyard", having been seriously reprimanded by someone in England who said he is trying to clean up the messes people have made using churchyard rather than cemetery, and the difference between the two. To be honest, I did not understand his explanation, and so I look to you for an answer. I am very grateful to you for your time.

RE: George Coldham Knight at Farnham, Surrey
Thanks very much for that, I really appreciate it. How would you like the credit to read? This is my first time on the site, so I am not sure whether you email the photo or send it some other way? Catherine
