Bio

I'm retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs and living in Douglasville, GA -- in the same county where my ancestors were pioneer settlers ca. 1830.

Since 2006 I have served as Chairman of the Douglas County Cemetery Preservation Commission. We have about 50-60 old, abandoned cemeteries in the county -- some of them very well concealed back in the woods. Each one is now cleaned at least once a year by the cemetery commission and a crew of county jail inmate trustees. I'm in the perfect job to be taking photographs of tombstones and providing information about them.
