Semi-retired former teacher and traveler. I adopt shelter dogs. Right now I have three, including one rescued out of Hurricane Katrina. I garden, engage in geocaching, and am in a never-ending "remodeling" of this old house, where I am the fifth generation of my family to live. I keep in touch with friends I made when I lived in Philly, Berlin, İstanbul and São Paulo. I volunteer as a CASA, and work on a variety of issues related to poverty. I also volunteer as a tour guide at the local history museum and get involved with veterans' issues, too.
