I am now a ninety three year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society. |
Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.
One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.
I am now a self appointed family historian who has been doing research on my own extended family, and that of my friends,
Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.
When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. I appreciate it when you say what relation, if any, to a person.
Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

|As Time Goes By||Cynthia Harrison request|
I received your request to make Cynthia Harrison related to Thomas and Barbara Harrison. I think this is not the relative you may be thinking of. The Cynthia Harrison I have posted in Jackson county Ohio was a Cynthia Otstot who married a Robert Harrison. Therefore I doubt she is a daughter to the Harrisons you mentioned. Please double check and let me know before I proceed with your request. Thank you.
|Ken DeCamp||DeCamp Lineage|
Audrey: You left me a message at findagrave.com but I am not sure how long ago. You asked for my DeCamp lineage and I am responding with the following:
Laurent (Laurens) Jansen 1645-1725
Emmett W. 1832-1917
Kenneth J. 1916-1984
I would be very interested in hearing your lineage and discovering our common ancestor. I am Kenneth L. DeCamp (1944- ) and you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
|Mary Cantrell-Chilton||Tanis Memorials|
I am writing in connection to Find A Grave #161937311 Philip Elmer Tanis and #160734323 Mildred A. Tanis Frazier, I would like to get you to add my Aunt Marion Beatrice Tanis Amos #147888220 as a sibling. I would like to make sure everyone is accounted for to complete the Family Members on the Tanis side. I am also on Ancestry and trying to match up family members on Find a Grave as well. Thank you very much for ALL your dedication to your Family and others!!
|Karen Beenblossom Bree||John Owens Request|
I wanted to let you know that I tried to fill your request today, but I can't get to the Owens' plot in Riverside Cemetery right now because of drifted snow. I'll go back this week and see if it's more accessible, but there's more snow in the forecast. I'll keep checking, though, and will eventually get if for you!
|Ron Hallberg||Walton Wally Albright Jr.|
Was doing a bit of an update on the memorial for Walter "Wally" Albright and find there is a duplicate at Findagrave.
The duplicate number is 22987 and is at the same cemetery you posted. It was added on Jul 13, 2001 - but under his nickname Wally.
As yours was added in 2011, I suppose your posting should technically be removed but as Findagrave is managing the other one, maybe they would defer to yours. Both memorials have excellent information but I think their place of death is incorrect and you have family linkages.
I did sent in an "Edit" to Findagrave to add his full name.
If I can help, please advise.

I check with Hadley-Marcom funeral chapel – he was cremation and his ashes was given to the family
so you will need to change the burial to Other (Ashes scattered, Body donated, Body lost, etc.)
added photo of marker
|J B||William Harvel|
Thank you for all of the edits for William Harvel!! He is my Great Aunt's father!! I knew he is buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. My Aunt told me long ago. Are you by any chance related to the Harvels? Just wondering. I'm somewhat related cause it's my great aunt's family.
