This set a example and Grave Law in all America!

His first bill he submitted, sponsored, and was passed was the Virginia Cemetery Bill, which forbade any destruction and/or plowing them under of them!

He alone saved the Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) from being becoming extinct when he was Chairman of Virginian Wildlife. Yes this is the Bird which the Country TURKEY attained that name. Tom, hen , and poults all.
Benjamin Franklin wanted this as our national Bird.

Maybe I just need to apply the same social respect to the deceased as to the living. I recall my mother, b. 1914, being quite mortified when strangers called her by her first name; the neighborhood kids here were taught to call me "Miss Linda" regardless of my marital status, but I grew up in CT where that was totally my strict sense of how to properly address an adult marr woman has been under assault due to local custom. All food for thought. Linda

Requests to add "Mrs"
Jonathan..I normally do not use the "Mrs" title for my listings unless it is important to the story (e.g. married "Mrs Sarah Jones") or possibly if found on the gravestone and no other related records can be found to identify the person. Would you share your thoughts with me on why you feel this addition is important, cause maybe I am missing something? Tks!

RE: June Moritz
I have double checked my records and unfortunately can find no record of Louis Moritz / June Moritz I suspect they are related but as very distant cousins.

RE: June Moritz

I do not have a June Moritz married to Lou.
However this person could be a relative.
There were MANY Moritz family members living in Bloomfield NJ

I'd be happy to look at this a bit closer if you know who Lou's father was

RE: Re: De Mallie
Hey that's cool! Wojick is my husband's name, I'm technically a Stauber. But his family tree is a bit of a mystery on his dad's side. I'll add some photos of Anthony to his memorial page. :) Thanks for making this!

De Mallie
Anthony De Mallie was my great grandpa :) I have photos of him, if you are interested in seeing them. I don't want to add them directly to your memorial until I have one confusing bit worked out. If you get a chance to email me so I can ask, that would be great! This site makes it hard to get in touch with people privately. My email is If I can clarify this one detail I will be happy to either send you the photos directly or post them on here. I have a couple photos of Lina (his wife) as well.

Benoni Stebbins
You posted a message that included a Masonic emblem - is that because of your background or Benoni's? I read through your bio and you have quite a family Masonic background.
Benoni would be my 10th great grand uncle.
