Benjamin F. Tarr

The memorial you have for Benjamin F(ranklin) Tarr (96733005) is, fortunately, incorrect! Benjamin did not die at Andersonville Prison. He survived the Civil War and went on to have 13 children. I do not have his burial place off the top of my head, but I would appreciate it if you would consider transferring his memorial to me, as he is a relative. I have linked to his father's memorial, but unfortunately, the burial place of his mother is unknown.

Thank you!

Re: # 100552458

You should put the photo of the stone on the other memorials for those on the marker.

Hello. I was wondering if you could transfer control of Memorial# 134476776 to me if you are not related. He is my Uncle.
Thank you.

This woman is my great great great grandmother - I was wondering if you could help me find her Van Der Poel husband's father - Jacobus Van der Poel was her husband (born about 1817 in Holland).

I'm at a total loss for who his father is ... that would be my great great great great grandfather.

Thank you for your time.

Do you by any chance have access to burial records for this cemetery?

Charles Fields
I have requested a photo of Fields' marker at Mount Mariah which will show Co.B, 24th US Colored Infantry. Perhaps that was his initial enlistment for SAW and the navy/marine service followed?

Elisabeth Shunk Good
Memorial #94044565 on Elisabeth Shunk Good has Francis R. Shunk as his father. He is the brother to Elisabeth. 10 year age difference. I made memorials for her parents Peter Shunk and Susannah Stahl even though I don't have burial records I did happen to find death date for the mother Susannah Stahl Shunk. There was an Old Wilmont Cemetery in Sugar Creek Twp. no longer in use. The burials were transferred to other cemeteries in the area. I believe Susannah and Peter were most likely buried in that old cemetery based on the census record and death record of Susannah.I also placed a newspaper obituary on Jackson Anderson Shunk (brother to Elisabeth). It mentions the move from Somerset Co., Pa. to Wilmont, Ohio which is situated in Sugar Creek Twp., Stark Co., Ohio.

posted a photo of his grave in St. John's German Cemetery (and going by a half dozen other names as well). I hear the announcement system of posting requested photos is currently down.

Comm William Crane #37483603
Hello, I noticed you posted biographical information for William Crane. You have not listed a spouse and I was wondering if you knew definitively whether he was married. As have historical articles stating our ancestor is the son of William and Elizabeth, his birth was in 1809 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and his father died in 1846. His widowed mother then moved to Illinois to reside with her adult children. Her headstone identifies her as "Elizabeth, wife of William". The surrounding families on Census records in Illinois are the children of Comm. William Crane's brother, Stephen. Can you shed any light on whether he could have had a wife and children?
