...Wow! So much to say, so little time...(hey that would make a cool grave inscription!)...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I remember I was curious about death from an early age. Not in a creepy way, but just not feeling very frightened, instead, I wanted to know - where did they go? I learned a lot from overhearing conversations with grownups, especially my grandmother and her friends. When I was about 8, an old cemetery in my hometown of Ventura, CA was cleared of its headstones and made into a park. The stones were unceremoniously dumped in a canyon near where I lived. I would walk out there and climb around on the broken tombtones and read them, and I developed a symbiotic bond with this kind of stuff. From my early teens, I also discovered I had a knack for communicating with the dead (this usually occurs through dreams). As I grew older, I also developed a true love of history and geneology. These days I say, "Some of my best friends are dead people!" :) Thanks for having such a great website! *Susan* (Pedrotta & Braffet family member)
