For 45 years, my focus as a family genealogist has been on old Barnwell District families in S.C. These include: Harden, Morris, Harley, Langley, Brown, Matthews, Lynes, Mayer, Croft, Craddock, Parker, Priester, Enicks (Enecks), Southwell, Bruton, Moncrief (beginning in Charleston), Young (Orangeburg District), Jackson (Charleston and St. Bartholomew's Parish), Davis, and Brooker. I enjoy what might be called "collateral line research," rather than placing all emphasis on certain direct lines. This leads me to do research on many other families in addition to those listed above.
