Do you have any information on her parents' names? I am hoping to find some type of documentation that would clarify her parents.
Also, is your family related to any Gills who lived in Ross Co.? Specifically John Gill who md. Anna Kuntz or Kootz? See memorial # 104666629.

Denise, I think you made a mistake when you said, "Sallie was the Wife of", probably meant the daughter of sister, etc.
Thanks for your information concerning the Gill history. DaveSebright
|DAVID L SEBRIGHT||Joe Tetrick|
Correction on my part. Joe Tetrick was the grandfather of Tom Tetrick, not his father.
|DAVID L SEBRIGHT||RE: Sallie B Gill & Tom Tetrick, husband|
Thank you for replying. Are you related to my grandmother, Sallie Brissenden Gill Tetrick?
Grandma's father was Sam Gill. He and his brother, Andrew, married the Ullom sisters who were twins. Sam's wife was Nancy. Sam was quite prosperous, being heavily involved with the bsnk in Clay City.
(The bank has old photographs on the walls of the basement you might be interested in.)
All are interred within a few feet of Grandma in the middle of the west side of Wells cemetery.
Tom Tetrick owned a set of scales. He bought corn, hogs and cattle. Upon getting a railroad car of livestock, he drove them on foot several miles into Clay City and down through town to the Railroad where he loaded them onto a rented railroad car. From there he shipped them into St Louis.
Tom Tetrick's father, Joe, was one of the first lawyers in Clay County and the first road commissioner in the area northeast of route fifty.
Joe is buried on the south side of Wells Cemetery with other members of his family. Upon his death
his wife and one son returned to Indiana.
The Tetrick's came from Indiana.

Denise, I am a grandson of Sallie B Gill & Tom Tetrick. You published a photo of them along with Sallie's sister, Rose Gill Banker and her daughter Druzilla Banker Abbott.
THE PHOTO OF TOM TETRICK IS THE FIRST KNOWN PICTURE OF TOM TETRICK EVER TAKEN.
Where did you ever find the picture of Tom? My sisters, cousin and I are the only ones left who have a memory of him and it is very faint.
I have hunted for 40 years for one and was positive it didn't exist, until I discovered the one you published.
Are you sure it is him? You can never know how happy you have made me.
How are you related to Grandma Sallie B Gill? Tetrick?

I was wondering if you could add my great granduncle Geo Enos Goodwater.. His memorial is already on this site. His grave number is "86344009" to the family link.
|Robin W||RE: Thomas Casmey|
I was at Skylawn for a volunteer photo and took pictures of other graves in the same section. See uploaded photo. Glad I could help!
