I've been working on my genealogy projects since the middle seventies. My mother was my inspiration. She had started years before that without the use of computers. I now am working on 10 family trees which includes my children's spouses. I'm not sure when my stopping points are going to be. I find the lives of those who went before us so interesting.
Brice Martin I am interested in the lineage of Brice Martin at Moss Cemetery. My grandmother was a Martin. The family is putting together a book about the Civil War and our family, before the big reunion next year. I would like to add Brice's story. With the name Brice he must be somewhere in the Joseph Martin and Susannah Childs line.
I sent a message a couple of days ago and while looking through some old messages I saw where you said that your husband's father was Allen Odle. That means I would be your sister-in-law. What is your husband's name and how old is he? I am truly excited as I have heard my father had plenty of other children but have had a really hard time finding any of them. Right now I know of 8 children and possibly another one, who would probably be the oldest of all his kids...maybe. I a the youngest that we know of. Anyway, the 8 are June and Clarence (we call him Skip). They are both full siblings. Then there is Fran and Elizabeth. They are full siblings also. Then there are myself and three older brothers. Allen III, Edgar, Lynn and myself. I am finding things about some other women he was married to. Violet, Lynne and possibly Penny. My mother was his 8th and last wife. I really can't wait to hear from you and will probably send an email too.
As I told you, Lewis' first wife was my cousin, Norma Gayle Jenkins and they divorced.
I hadn't given much thought to his ancestry, I knew of the Rices, of course, but was surprised to find I also knew his grandparents: Noah Wesley Peter Martin (1879 - 1961)and Edna Mae Wood Martin (1879 - 1958). They lived across the Holler north from us. There isn't any longer a path through there.
RE: #84526877-Ida Bushart Hi,I have no problem with you adding any photos that you wish to Ida Bushart's memorial or any other memorial that I have created. In fact, I have transferred Ida's memorial to you so that you can have complete control over it.
BTW, it is my understanding that it is not necessary to ask permission to add one or more photos to Find A Grave memorials. The only time that permission is required regarding photos is when you would like to copy one or more photos that someone else has added.
