The farther back we look, the farther forward we are likely to see.
Venerating those that have gone before.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die." Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2

Please email me with any corrections or changes.

My husband and I are from Moline, IL originally. We currently live in central Illinois. I have family in the Quad City area, southern IL, western KY, western IN and SW Missouri so we are often in these areas and able to take cemetery pictures.

Thomas & Judey Lane
I transfer memorials most of the time when I receive a request, but my wife is a direct descendant of Thomas and Judey, also. They were her 4th great-grandparents through their daughter, Elizabeth Lane Vest.

Emma Churchill at Monmouth Cem
Here is some information about Emma, from the Warren Co. Gen. Soc. book of Misc. Obituaries, vol. 7: Emma Jane Green was the daughter of Caleb J. and Sarah Jane Young Green. She was born in Iowa on April 3, 1858. As a child she moved with her family to Mercer County, IL where she was reared and received her schooling. Following her marriage to Albert Edwin Churchill in Mercer Co. on Feb. 10, 1881 she and her husband lived for three years in Kansas. They moved in a covered wagon from there to Alexis, where they resided until they came to Monmouth 44 years ago. Mrs. Churchill always grew a lovely flower garden and kept her time occupied in making quilts and rugs. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Century class there and belonged to Monmouth Rebekah Lodge No. (transcriber didn't know if it was 123 or 128) Surviving are her husband, three children, Fred W. and Mrs. Eva Anderson of (Monmouth) and Ward L. Churchill of Rushville. There is one grandson Jack L. Churchill. One of a family of thirteen children Mrs. Churchill is survived by only one sister, Mrs. Ella Brummit of Ottawa, Kansas. Daughter of a Civil War veteran, Mrs. Churchill well remembered shaking hands with Abraham Lincoln. From Monmouth Review Atlas April 6, 1947

Jacqueline Dickey
Dickey Family
Hi. I am Jacqueline Dickey and I am researching my genealogy. I see that you have added one of my ancestors, David Dickey in the Argenta cemetery. Is there any way to link him to my great-grandfather William K. Dickey in the Macon County Memorial Park?

Nancy "Jodie" Elliott
Hi Pammy,

I love the church "token" you placed on Jodie's memorial! She would have as well as she was very committed to her church and would have appreciated your gesture.
Thank you so much!

P.S. I have a sister who has the same name as you do but hers is spelled "Pami".

God bless you and yours!

RE: 61116665-George Owen
If you will use the "Edit/Suggest a correction..." procedure to make it easy to access George's memorial, I will be glad to transfer him to you. It's just something that you should get used to doing.
