Bio

It makes me feel I have accomplished something lasting and meaningful to find people and add their pictures and link them with their families when possible. As long as the internet exists, this information will be here for future generations to find.

If you are grieving you may find as I did that working on this site can help.

I am related to the names Vann, Van, Schulze, Schmid, Vaughan, Vaughn, Lindsey, Witte. I have a close personal connection with some people named Wika and Moore. I will happily transfer any memorial that is not my relation and if you are a closer relation than me I will certainly transfer it to you.
In my wanderings through here I will often leave a flower especially if someone doesn't have one. The majority of people I never knew but feel free to ask.

If you find an error on a memorial please let me know, I want to get it right. Whenever I find a rare book with genealogical information I try to add it to a person's memorial. I am just trying to preserve their memory as much as possible. If I have added pictures or information that is unwanted just let me know, I am not here to upset anyone. Just please be sure. I may not be able to repost it as I do not keep all the books.
If you have someone from Texas who was a WWII vet, I do have all 5 volumes of the Fighting Men of Texas. I would be happy to see if your person is in there. My mother and uncles are not though, so it is not comprehensive. I suspect that the families must have had to pay for inclusion.
I confess to liking pictures of folks when they are young and strong and healthy. I think that is what they will look like when we see them again. ;-)

If you have a spare flower maybe you would leave one for my mom.

I'm afraid I still miss her too much. She was so kind hearted, generous and forgiving.
