PLEASE DO NOT COPY MY PHOTOGRAPHS AND POST THEM TO ANY OTHER SITES. THIS IS A VIOLATION OF MY COPYRIGHT!|
PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY PHOTO'S AND POST THEM ON ANOTHER SITE OR BOOKS THEY BELONG TO ME AND MY FAMILY AND IF I HAD WANTED THEM POSTED ON ANCESTRY COM OR ANY OTHER SITE I WOULD HAVE POSTED THEM MYSELF. THIS IS STEALING AND AGAINST THE LAW.
Born 1959. Married, 6 children. Love history, cemetery art and gardening. I have been doing genealogy for 30+ years.
I am a historian. I document an event for future generations. I am not a "hawk" or a "vulture". I do not get paid for this, I do not gain anything from this. I do not wish to disrupt your grieving process. I do not do this to disrespect anyone.
I believe that after 3 or 4 generations, everyone is basically forgotten. Our graves sit there deteriorating without a care. I especially feel for childless couples or infants and children, they are forgotten sooner. I love this website, because generation after generation, our future family will be able to come here, and see our graves, and with a little love and care can see our faces also. Tracing our lineage will be so much easier for future generations.
I will post obits on memorials with proper citation. I know some people feel that this info is "private" or "personal" but.... it was PUBLISHED IN THE PAPER FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.
99% of the time this info is invaluable to genealogists. I have had cemeteries tell me they are private property and those interred there want privacy. If someone truly wants privacy, get cremated and scattered over the ocean, don't put up a huge headstone with your name, dates...... Like having a huge billboard up on a highway and you are asked not to look at it or read it........SILLY.
**Please, no drama. I report, ignore and block, rude or offensive communications.**
I also feel creating memorials for living people is disrespectful. Anyone can find names and dates to enter, but to truly do the job correctly, the names, obits, dates and links should be complete. If you add an obit, it should be as it was printed.
My paternal grandparents were Wavie (nee Rench) & Jesse Botkin. She was the first schoolteacher in Atlanta. Jesse ran the store in town. I have a 2006 copy of the cemetery records. I will try to get the transcribed into Find A Grave.
I do my best to post accurately and respectfully.
I LOVE FINDAGRAVE. I love making corrections. I want my memorials to be as complete as possible. Bring on the additional information. I am on here every day.

This is a duplicate of a memorial previously posted # 49070545 - which seems to be correct since the marker is at that cemetery.

Hi, I found a marker for Ora in Lisle Cemetery, Lisle, DuPage County, IL. Would you willing to update her memorial to this location? Please let me know if you think this is not right and I will remove my photo. Thanks.

You have very kindly put up a memorial to my 3rd gr grandmother, Eliza Merchant Perry, as well as her husband, Ozias Perry. If you are related to the, could you tell me how? If not, would you be willing to let me manage their memorials because they are my direct line? You can email me back at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you so much for all the memorials you have put up on Find A Grave.
|Dylan Hembrough||Carrie Gerber Pech|
Hi. Carrie Gerber Pech us my great great grandma. I would like to know two things: 1) I would like to know if we are related because you manage Carrie's memorial and 2) do you know the name of Carrie's brother? He was a successful violinist but I don't know his name. He died in a train accident. Please let me know when you have answers to either of these questions. Thank you.
Are you related to Louise Fitzgerald? I see you manage her memorial, and it is very complete.
|Sandra Ford||RE: Dewey Eugene Price|
Rita, I'm sorry to hear that-but thank you so much for lettimg me know. If you do genealogy you know how hard it is to keep track.
Once again, thank you.
