Bio

I love finding where our ancestors came from and where they are laid to rest. Have enjoyed walking through cemeteries since I was a kid, reading the markers and wondering what joys or sorrows each person experienced in their life.

I welcome any contacts relating to the following families:
The Rogers, Ventis, Lett, Cate(s), Warwick, Irick, Simmons ... all mainly east TN families.
The Cummins and Bishop families from KY (mainly Whitley Co area).
The McAbee's, Camp, Brady, West families from upstate SC and south west North Carolina.

Are you wondering if you can use my pictures on your family tree, ancestry.com tree or website? The answer is yes if you would kindly just add the notation 'photo courtesy of Jillanita through Findagrave.com'.

For me, Findagrave is not about the numbers I have...it is about connecting people with their deceased relatives. Otherwise, many of us would never be able to visit the final resting place of those we may never have met but still love and care about.

If you are requesting a transfer of a relative of yours, please make that request through the memorial.

Don't forget that as long as we keep their memory in our hearts, their names on our lips, we share with others about their life or we share a picture of their final resting place - these things ensure that they were here and their memory will live on.
